Serious question... no hate. I've played Valheim a few playthroughs now and I just don't see where there's enough content to warrant this much meticulous storage. I mean, after you get to this sort of base building/storage system you've won... what else is there to possibly do?

NO LONGER WORKS: The "Floaty" trick where you can have the text show up to the left of the sign out in the air by adding in a bunch of spaces has been fixed by the Devs.

also you can illuminate your signs. type in the sign text: <color=green> wood. you'll have a sign that says "wood" in green letters :)

I am at level 2 just outside vault 76. The only thing i know its how to loot walk and been super confused. For the rest i have totally no clue wat to do and how it works. How to use the map ore where to go. Totally no clue.

I really need to use signs more.

Pretty funny that legendary 'Silver Lining' chest armor was reward for completing 'tentative plans' building cook station and stash box in camp...usually would drop around lvl 10 if you do the responders quests at the Morgantown airport...fwiw :D

Found an easier way that doesn't require and poles/beams! The only thing you have to do is shift+place a 1x1 Floor tile on top of the floor tile that you are gonna place your Large Chest. After that place your Sign on top of that floor tile . You can now destroy the "shifted floor tile" and the sign will 'levitate' 1 floor tile above the floor - this is the perfect height for the sign if you are using the large chests!

There have been a huge number of changes to the game since you made this but my top tip would be "play Scorched Earth as soon as you can". At low levels you have huge amounts of damage resistance and you get the Event Reward just for being there. On my most recent character the first thing I did as soon as I could leave the Forest was join a team and build a basic camp near Fissure Prime with a Shelter. The rewards you get at SE are huge and it's possible to rise 3 levels each event.

This looks painful and any future additions and realms will ruin all the effort. I usually put 3 boxes on top of each other and a sign at the top that says "bones" or "metal" and keep it generic. It's still easy to find stuff.

As of today. Every time i destroy the wall that holds the sign up to the chest, the sign breaks as well, no idea why, most likely patched. So that no longer works. But great video nonetheless.

It took them 30 FUCKING MINUTES to leave the vault. It's a 5 minute mini tutorial
