When I had people renting rooms, I did the same thing with their payments. That is I recorded them as income and recorded the mortgage payment as mine. Nice video! Looking forward to the next one.

Congrats on the pay rise 🎉. Oh no I didn't realise you had a referral for Wealth Simple. I would have used it yesterday when I opened up a TFSA account with them yesterday. Thinking of opening up a cash account with them cause their interest rate is so much better than what CIBC is currently offering me. I was sad to find out that Vanguard isn't available in Canada but I'm liking the simplicity of the app and how easy it was to sign up.

I’m always going back and forth between a lot of categories and a little bit of them. The struggle is real lol 😂

Loved watching this. It made me miss home. I need to include a UK category in my budget. I feel you about not liking how your YNAB looks that’s what I’m struggling with right now. I feel like I’ve got too many categories but I also spend out of them. I’ve been playing around with different set-ups.

I think the emergency fund line is genius. I have one as well in addition to sinking funds and annual stuff. You can’t plan for emergencies, just need to be ready! You’re doing great

Yes I do too. I still have an excel spreadsheet to divide my monthly expenses by paycheck and then place it on ynab

I have the same “emergency” buffer in our budget that is different from our actual emergency fund. Ours is called Life Happens, so maybe change the name.
