@rebelsoffroad6 күн бұрын
the front already has the lift bracket in this kit so you couldn't in the front only rear. also once you go bigger than 2-3" lift the stock axles would limit you as well

I just got vfj's flash tune on my stock '22. It totally rips much more aggressively from take off to mid range. No matter how far forward i hang off the front, the front end is instantly up and over. Its a weapon for sure. It actually wont wheelie on grass and dirt anymore (stock tires) as it just throws masssive roost while spinning. But I'm wondering about tho is the max rpm seems significantly higher like maybe around 9500 which u would think wpuld give me more speed but i actually lost 1mph from 69 to 68. It feels like its reving past its peak power range of the stock cam and looses some pull after the midrange. Can i do the same thing we used to do with sleds and put heavier weight in the stock clutch to bring rpms back down into optimal range for even harder acceleration in the mid to top end?

@@rebelsoffroad Yep. Borrowed some spare bolts off of other sxs's we have had in the past which fortunately did the trick. Nothing new though, I've noticed in the last 10 years or so they seem to be using cheaper materials on hardware.

Do the long machines give you trouble at Hatfield McCoys? I sold my Maverick XXC and need a 4 seater for grandkids. We ride Hatfield McCoy a couple times a year. I’m not sure whether to go RMax4, Commander 4 seater or KRX4
@rebelsoffroad24 күн бұрын
The length Really didn’t give much trouble. The rmax4 is a nice machine as is the krx4. For Hatfield green/blue trails really can’t go wrong with either one! That said I’d probably go with krx4 though if it was me. The rmax tends to get hung up a little easier and a little more tippy on the rocky trails if you plan to hit any black/double blacks.

I've been staring at it for a week now, looks like a job for sure. Wondering if you had to take all of the rear plastic off? Thanks again!
@ringlej6 күн бұрын
Just to update my own comment. I did not have to take off all of my rear plastics or disconnect my tail lights. Most can skip that part. Agree with your video about disconnecting radius rods and axles as they will bind. Great video, I would not have attempted to do this job without it. Thanks!

Depends on what you like. I probably would not do 4hrs for it because I could go to BFR, or Hatfield in around that but I like the super technical hard stuff and there isn’t a lot of it there. It’s a very pretty park and there are enough scenic trails to keep you busy for about a day and a half I’d say. if you like that I’d say it’s worth it!

That seems to be a common kit with a few variations out there. I got the one with the extra L/R wires to put blinking indicators on the dashboard. Also had a regular turn lever/horn/emergency flasher button for the steering wheel like a regular car instead of rocker switches. Super easy project. Had to install kit to make street legal for DoT regulations.
@rebelsoffroadАй бұрын
Yes it’s not that complicated to make so I can see where there would be a lot of similar kits out there. I like the price point of this one but I’ve thought about adding the in the cab indicators I think that would definitely be worth a little more $$

3 years late to the party, but thinking of adding some clearance to my '22 Brute since it sits too damned low for riding out here in the Rockies (constantly bangs on rocks, high centers in snow, puddle splashes get in the CVT air intake even riding slow, etc. etc.) Any idea if arched a-arms will conflict with shields? I have some hefty ones paired with my skid plate to protect everything from the lovely bowling ball sized rocks we have for road base out here, and I would *think* that the arched a-arms going higher means it's a non issue. I don't think you all run skids from watching the install videos, but figured you may still have some insight from handling them and seeing the fitment first hand Cheers from Wyoming / Colorado
@rebelsoffroad2 ай бұрын
Hey man the arched aarms will definitely help give you some extra clearance. It was probably the biggest improvement I’ve made in my brute. I think you probably won’t have an issue with ur skids/shields but I’m really sure because we don’t use them.

No issue if you throw out the poor quality castle nuts they give you that only have 2 or 3 poorly cut threads and get proper ones.... also NEVER put the washers on the taper side, they go under nut if necessary.
@rebelsoffroad2 ай бұрын
I tried that on one side and it still loosened. There’s no matching taper on the steering stem side so it doesn’t matter it’s just clamping force. Honestly you should not have to do any “fixes” for an aftermarket tie rod that is supposed to be bolt on.
