Great video as always. Props to the model being able to twist her ankle like the way she did in the first pose. Was that a 180 degree turn?

6:00 > By the way, where is that soft & gentle spot of light on the wall, directed toward the model, coming from?
@Hkvisuals6 күн бұрын
It's the reflection of the sun in the water... I believe I've mentioned this in the blog post.
@AlirezaS5 күн бұрын
@Hkvisuals Thanks 👍❤️; but the light direction is not completely down to up (& it seems to be left to right (i.e.: horizontal direction and it's gr8!)). And I didn't read the blog post but I will do that asap 😉.

@@HkvisualsCould you please give me the link of that blog post?
5:35 > What a precise, subtle, and thoughtful choice of location. I truly enjoyed the selection of this spot, which is essentially an O.S.O. with excellent lighting conditions, and I admire you for it. Thank you!

Great work ! Do you use continuous auto focus with eye tracking for this shoot?
@Hkvisuals6 күн бұрын
I rarely use eye-tracking, I don't think I have on this one.

Un plaisir de te voir en coup de vent au salon à Paris. Dommage pas eu le temps de te parler plus que te dire que c'était moi qui t'avais demandé quel ND tu utilisais. Ça serait cool de t'interviewer un jour sur ma chaîne. Keep up the good work as always!

Love the shots. What you using for retouching these days? I find myself spending like 20x more time retouching than shooting. 1 hour shoot quickly turns into 20-40 hours of retouching images. Its kinda destroyed photography for me.

What a crazy setup with so much to put on. I mean, if you're going to shoot for hours I get it. However to get just a few shots then it's a waste of money.

I was ‘classically’ trained in portrait lighting in 1972 apprenticing with world renowned photographer Monte Zucker who created a unique market niche of ‘Old World Master’ portraits simply by used the same light source they did a north facing window with nose pointed 45° to it to create an contrasting eye catching and attention holding ‘mask’ of highlights on the FRONT of the face and always past brow and in the eyes. We matched the same look in every reception shot by always having a FILL flash over the camera as the foundation and putting the KEY light the same as with the window 45° from the nose and higher than eye line but not so high the bow shades it. His critics would say, ‘All your portraits look the same’ but the response would be, ‘Well once you finally understand what models the 3D shape of a human face in the most flattering way why would you even think to use anything else? The goal isn’t doing something different to keep from getting bored it is to make the subject look their best.” I can see in your work you embrace that concept and bow in your general direction 👍😂

Great location shoot! I was curious about your light stand, is it better for travel and are the legs adjustable at all? Setting lights up in outdoor locations when shooting solo can be tricky for me!

not the best, to be honest... I use these Manfrotto lightstands because they are light and I've had them for years.

I recently got to play with the 100S II. It had the 80mm on it. I only had a few minutes with the camera but the images were super sharp and the colors were beautiful. I could use the images without post processing. I can see why you like the Fuji format.

Frankly? Nice music, nice model, nice gear. But what did I learn? What lens you are using, why? What places you pick, what’s your intention?How you are directing your model? What are you aiming for?

I enjoy your work. I would love to see more behind the scenes.But I'd like to see something. If I see another video of somebody shooting a girl with a 36" round soft box, I think I might have to pull my eyes out. I enjoyed watching your videos where you use the Godox parabolics. Maybe more videos with mixed modifiers in mixed light conditions.
@HkvisualsАй бұрын
I've done a few with mixed modifiers already, but I will consider posting more of them in the future. What's wrong with a 36" round modifier?
