I am sorry, but regardless of what they knew in 1681, we can safely say today that white/caucasian people are very cohesive genetically, with most europeans being descendent from three ancestor populations (Early european hunter-gatherers + anatolian farmers + yamnaya) with some Iberians having a little bit of north african ancestry, some nordics having some Sami ancestry, some eastern europeans having asian ancestry and some italians and greeks having levantine ancestry, but even those being closer to other europeans than to those other ancestries. The fact that I disagree with creating a jurisdictional distinction between races, or even that I think the topic of race of very convoluted and complex, does not negate that they were intuitively correct in thinking about a white identity, since up until the late 19th century 99% of europeans that arrived in america were either from Great Britain, France, Germany and some scandinavians, they were cohesive both in appearance and cultural norms and patterns of behaviors. As Irish, Polish, Italian arrived, the debate became harder, but still, they didn't took their notions out of nothing. I am certain that taking appart some outliers, europeans are one very cohesive group, no one can deny that, and they exist as a "race" (if you have a laxer definition of race) or at least as a genetic group (regardless of what you name it). I am not european by the way, I am from Brazil, I have Iberian, Sub-Saharan and Native American ancestry.

I'm reading Ms. Battalora's book "Birth of a White Nation" and am near the end. After making copious notes of topics that really jump out at me as I read the book, I must say that this book is the work of genius that opened my mind to a mostly unknown genesis of the fallacy of Whiteness in America. Perhaps one of the most important books I've ever read, and I'm a lifelong Biblioholic.

Of course "white people" were never mentioned prior. The Greeks didn't call themselves Greek because Greece was all they knew. Like all races and cultures, they first believe all people must be they color of themselves, because they've never met anyone but people like themselves. It's only when a bunch of you venture forth into the unknown that you realize all people don't look like your people. All the men that were documenting and recording history in those days were pale, whether from Northern Europe, the Caucuses, the Ottoman Empire, Italians or Greeks. They didn't leave behind written records. Anything prior to those days is best left alone if seeking meaning and substance. Otherwise, you may as well be recording the biography of a man who did nothing with his life outside. There isn't much point to recording his bowel movements. They weren't actually human to begin with. But it will advance primate studies. The "White people" back then weren't perfect. Some were pro-slavery (the elite) and some were abolitionists, mainly the indentured and enslaved. My own heritage is from indentured beginnings as far back as recorded history. I had an ancestor who changed his legal name in the 19th century. Another was one of Boone's "guidesmen" (18th C tour guide) serving under Boone's leadership. Another was an outlaw. Not exactly the cream of the crop, but the West has moved beyond that kind of enslavement. All races were involved in slavery, the West (at least officially) ended slavery. Or so the books say. This is why written history is so important, regardless of one's racial heritage. All opinions must be given respect until proof without corruption is achieved. Unfortunately, it's practically illegal to discuss either World War, unless you're a ✡️ or a shabbos goyim Judeo-Christian apologist these days.

First of all. If a woman, any woman marries a slave then who is supposed to support her. Her husband cannot. He is a slave. She cannot because she is a woman in the 17th century. Wouldn’t you think that if it is an English colony that in the end the English are going to have privileges. Wouldn’t it be the same if it were a Chinese or African colony? It is early capitalism. The English had the ships and the skills to navigate the high seas. I know that all of this sounds brutal by today’s standards. Everything was brutal then compared to todays standards!

Our ancestors never identified as negro, black, Indian or red man. You can verify this with the 1790 census. In 1790, they didn’t account for the entire country, just their colony. So the slaves the referenced in the census was Europe-peons not my people or Africans. As you’ll notice, the 1790 census doesn’t mention blacks or Africans.

We need to really stop calling the "elites" elite... They're really not elite at doing anything other than causing problems for the rest of us.
