In Massachusetts AKA Masshole, starting in 2025, all new building will be required to use electric heat pumps. The current governor has also been working very hard to add extra fees to the transportation for oil and gas (propane included) with costs higher than the actual costs of the product. Legislation has been working very hard making it seem affordable to switch from gas and oil heat/cooling to use heat pumps instead. The unfortunate bad situation is these pumps aren't efficient when it gets colder below -5°>. This can be very important because we haven't had many days late being that cold. But when these regulations and forced prices higher is going to be a very huge wake up call. CA and MA so far are the only ones pushing this. Iam looking at leaving MA before these are implemented from the state.

Co2 is not bad. Complete hoax, 2023 heatwave caused by Jan2022 Tonga Hunga Tunga undersea volcano, spewing water vapor into the upper atmosphere, actually warming the globe. It still affected 2024, but it is half-living, and no more heat records will be broken. CO2 glabal warming, aka AGW is a hoax. is co2 a pollutant ? Answer The classification of carbon dioxide (CO2) as a pollutant is a matter of perspective and context: Faux-Scientific Perspective: Yes: CO2 is often labeled as a pollutant in the context of climate change because it is a major greenhouse gas. It significantly contributes to the greenhouse effect, leading to global warming and climate change. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States, for instance, has classified CO2 as a pollutant under the Clean Air Act due to its impact on the climate. Contextual: However, CO2 is not harmful in the same way pollutants like sulfur dioxide or nitrogen oxides are; it doesn't directly affect human health at typical atmospheric concentrations. At concentrations found in the atmosphere, it's not toxic to breathe. Biological Perspective: No: CO2 is essential for plant photosynthesis, which is vital for life on Earth. Plants absorb CO2 to produce oxygen and organic compounds. In this context, CO2 is not a pollutant but a necessary component of the carbon cycle. Legal and Policy Perspective: Many countries and international bodies treat CO2 as a pollutant for regulatory purposes aimed at reducing emissions to mitigate climate change. This includes various carbon pricing mechanisms, emissions standards, and international agreements like the Paris Agreement. Public Perception: Opinions can vary widely, often influenced by political, economic, or environmental beliefs. Some argue against labeling CO2 as a pollutant, emphasizing its natural occurrence and benefits to plant life, while others stress its role in anthropogenic climate change. In summary, whether CO2 is considered a pollutant depends largely on the context: In terms of climate impact: Yes, it is considered a pollutant. In terms of biological necessity: No, it is not. For a nuanced understanding, one should consider the concentration levels, the rate of increase due to human activities, and the broader implications for both environment and human life.

The American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act is a piece of bipartisan legislation that was crafted and passed by Congress with the support of lawmakers from both sides of the aisle. Contrary to some misconceptions, the AIM Act was not created by the EPA. Instead, it emerged from collaborative efforts in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing climate change and supporting U.S. innovation in the manufacturing sector. After its passage in Congress, the AIM Act was signed into law by the President, formalizing its objectives and granting authority to the EPA to implement its provisions. The role of the EPA is not to create policy in this instance but to execute the mandates outlined in the Act established by Congress and the President.

This new high pressure stuff is all BS, I had a window unit ac that lasted 20 years. Ive not come close to that since. Ive had to replace 2 one after the other, that lasted like a month over the 1 year warranty. And of course the cost is twice the cost now. Going to have to just dig a well and pump water through a radiator with a fan behind it just to get get a little cool air. The tech is bad. Oh the stuff is safer. But your probably loosing 10 times more of the new stuff into the environment than the old stuff. Because of poor built products and the higher pressures needed by it.

@escogroup2 күн бұрын
You my friend are exactly why we do these trainings. To begin with A2L are a sad excuse for a flammable gas. Under absolute perfect conditions with extremely high ignition energy, they produce only a slight flame. In the instance you describe, the refrigerant detection sensor goes int mitigation at 25% of the LFL and shuts off all ignition sources. The blower runs and mitigates any gases. The industry has done extensive research and testing to make sure there is no chance of an ignition. The only potential danger is improperly trained technicians. We highly encourage you to join one of our A2L conversations and attend a recognized training curriculum.

The latest Supreme court ruling says that NO government Agency can enforce its rules on consumers without a specific congressional bill that has passed the Congress and made law by way of the President. The EPA is abusing this. Wake up America. The Montréal protocol is a fraud. There is NO longer scientific evidence that the original refrigerants harmed the atmosphere. CO2 is not a pollutant. EPA has been creating regulations, so the chemical corporations (Dupont) can protect themselves from competition & make higher profits. The EPA has no authority. These are all voluntary regulations. The DOJ is enforcing regulations that are not law.

@@escogroup Thank you. Are you advocating for GWP designation? I am a refrigeration service engineer that saw the global scare come forth in 1987. As an ASHRAE member, I saw this theory spread. The lack of evidence of how CFC could get into the upper atmosphere was completely overlooked. The fact that imported (Mexico) R22 was selling for $0.69 per pound was never talked about as a reason for the American chemical corporations to lobby for the banning of CFC. NASA & NOAA are not to be trusted for their enthusiasm over the past 40 years. Current ozone hole research indicates it is as big as ever, it is seasonal and a natural consequence of solar & galactic radiation. I have concluded that all the propaganda was profit motivated, and we need to repeal all legislation based on these ozone and GWP ideas.

Maybe you can blame homebuilders for not providing you with the proper spaces to do a good job, but your industry should have pushed back on builders and support regulations to force the issue. Air handling units in unconditioned garages, ductwork in unconditioned 140F degree attics. Dampers that fail regularly and located in hard to reach spaces. Mold inside and outside of ducts. Condensation dripping on to the blown in attic insulatio. Mini-splits and an ERV for me in my retirement home.
