It is a Danish Cord Bench. The full build video is on my page. Honestly it was so much fun to build and weave.

Nothing like hand-crafted perfection. Never worked with wood, but these are always so satisfying. Good, concise editing, too. c:

Oooo That had to be scary! This little guy got pinched between the blade and fence. Shot straight back like a rocket.

@BurlandFeather oh yes I took safety a bit more serious after that, and when a piece of trim exploded in my hand on the radial saw. Have not been seriously hurt and I advocate working smarter.

Yup. It’s a sacrificial heel. They come in a multipack to swap them out when they get all chewed up.

If you push with a wooden push rod it's perfectly safe just make sure to allign your push with the blade and cut straight through it. Never push from the side of the blade because that's when you get kick back

I always use that type of push for better control and to prevent twisting into the blade at the end of the cut. All of my table saw injuries have been from the type of push stick you threw out. Push sticks are dangerous, IMO. I've been a carpenter for 36 years

@BurlandFeatherАй бұрын
I attach the cord with a crown stable gun. But you can also do it with a small staple and hammer. Attach it to the inside of the bench so it won’t be seen. Good luck with your build!

Think about a rolling desktop, that's what it looked like in her build. Have the top slats roll up.
