I just noticed that they must have had trouble synchronising the crashing waves during panning shots, particularly during the sword fight. You'll notice the waves speed up when the camera pans to the left

This was my introduction to Felix believe it or not. Shame only 3 were made, there was potential for Felix to continue there.

Oh, really? That's unfortunate. Felix having a voice, despite him having a voice in the movie that I just remembered existed, is kinda cool. I actually watched this one a LONG time ago. I remembered being amazed by the fact that a Felix the cat cartoon was in color and Felix had a voice.

I have never seen this print being restored. This is way better than the prints that were unrestored since it was missing the main titles where the print got beat up since it has shown on Public Domain VHS tapes for years.

Not the final version; several shots near the end were cleaned up separately. Those are mostly here but not entirely, so that's why there is a black spot on this work-in-progress.

MeTV announced yesterday they're trying to get the pre 1950 and post 1962 cartoons Paramount owns as well as Terrytoons. However, Paramount is in the middle of being sold so likely nothing is going to happen already. Only thing Paramount has on MeTV right now is Betty Boop.

I read about Clint Clobber in the 1991 edition of that TRULY AWESOME book "Encyclopedia of Animated Cartoons" by Jeff Lenburg, and it is so great to see this one! For those who are interested, this was the last one in the seven-cartoon series and was released in April of 1959. 👍

Well, for contrast - Gene used a similar design for his T&J cartoons that looks exactly like Clint Clobber. I think that's why they mistake this Clint for that Clint.
