I just got this on sale for 45 dollars... I just wanted to know if braid has damaged you eye inserts or not.

I have not had any problems with with this reel. I have had the eye fall out on my 13 fishing F1 reel even with glueing it back in. But all good things for this reel

What size spool? Trying to decide between the 200 and 300
@TheIconicFisherman Жыл бұрын
I use reaction tackle hi-vis colored braid exclusively on all my spinning rigs I get 1,000 yard spools and I love it. I do recommend if you get reaction tackle go with the 4 strand braid it seems to be more abrasion-resistant than the 8 strand braid. And I think this is because the 4 strand braid consists of 4 thicker fibers woven together and the 8 strand braid consists of 8 very thin strands of fiber wolven together. And since I fish the upper Mississippi River primarily which has a ton of very sharp abrasive rocks and sunken logs I need that abrasion resistance. I do use heavier line due to the need for abrasion resistance but here are the specifications for the two rigs I primarily use on the Mississippi River Catfish and Northern Pike rig: 40 lb test hi-vis orange braided main line: 40 lb test main leader line: 30 lb test secondary leader line. Panfish and Freshwater Drum rig: 30 lb test hi-vis green braided main line: 30 lb test main leader line: 20 lb test secondary leader line.

@prismfishing7245 Жыл бұрын
That’s such a hard question🤔 I’d have to say probably the sukoshi bug from 10k fish, and either the 4.5” contender or blooper (chrome) from googan

@@prismfishing7245 I like the 4.75 Mike bucca baby bull gill in violet brim or a GRANDE BANGER or a grass hero swim jig with a 3.8 inch saucy swimmer in blue gill color

The bull gill in violet brim is my second choice, not a huge fan of jigs though
@OK_BASSIN Жыл бұрын
Well when they want something moving but it has to be low and slow in a grassy area the grass hero does extremely well well
