I guess it kind of makes sense that there would be other gods for other alien races. It would be pretty weird for the Christian god to be jealous of other gods being worshipped if they didn’t exist in the first place. If it’s all just a simulation, maybe each god is just the programmer assigned to a specific planet. The idea sounds more like what we would like it to be though than actual reality
@revivalinjesusway3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I don't think there would be multiple gods since the moral law is such that we can see even an alien race would still be subject to it (torturing a baby for fun is always wrong everywhere). Also, the Bible affirms that God is the God of the whole Universe not just earth. What I mentioned in the video is it is possible that other alien races may relate to God differently. For instance, they may not have sinned and taken on a sin nature (such as with the good angels), etc. The main point is the Bible doesn't try to address this because it makes no real difference towards our relating to the God of the Universe

@revivalinjesusway3 ай бұрын
Hello, the video is about an application we can take away from events surrounding two key figures (Solomon and Jeraboam) in the split between the northern and the southern kingdom of Israel. The "we" is anyone desiring to build a legacy. The split took place between the northern and southern kingdom because of God's judgement on Solomon and was fulfilled via his sons Rehoboam's decision to treat the people even more harshly than his father. Jeraboam was anointed king by God over the northern Kingdom Israel. You can read about this in 1 Kings. Be encouraged, get into a Bible and learn these things!

I believe Israel had to fail over and over and over for God to show them that they cannot uphold the righteous law. Only God Himself can! That’s why we need Jesus. I also believe the Lord chose the Jews because they were/are the most tenacious rule followers. And even the most tenacious of the world cannot be good enough. Only Jesus could! Repent and follow Him!

Agree, but even Israel was meant to turn to God for salvation through realizing the futility of achieving salvation through the law. One day the nation of Israel will also realize this. Salvation is found through Jesus alone, thanks for watching!

Spot on. It is sad to see so many people hating on the Jewish nation…they don’t realize their hate condemns them. The Jews are a stubborn lot…but for all of us, every one will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord. One day the Jews will turn back and repent…just as we all must! Thanks for your video.

Doesn't seem like dignity or treating them like a fellow human being

@@kyle--859 44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly." Here are some points: 1. "slave" can be translated as "servant", "employee", or "worker". 2. To "buy" a "slave" cannot mean some sort of slave trade because of Exodus 21:16: "Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death, whether the victim has been sold or is still in the kidnapper’s possession." As a result, to "buy" a "slave" more likely means to "hire". 3. "property" has a negative connotation in English when applied to human beings. This is not necessarily true in ancient Hebrew. Also, an employee IS their employer's property in a sense. The employer can tell the employee what to do. (But the employee is not 100% property.) 4. "inherited property" to the employee's children is nothing special. My boss has given his "manager" role to his son in the time since I've started working there. I was the boss's "property", but now his son has inherited me. 5. "slaves for life" does not mean *non-consensually". Look at Deuteronomy 23:15-16: "15 If a slave has taken refuge with you, do not hand them over to their master. 16 Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them." So if a slave (employee) ran away from a master (employer) he or she didn't like (could be for anything, including being treated terribly), no one can say otherwise. That slave MUST go free. It's the law.
@revivalinjesusway6 ай бұрын
1) your opposition to slavery comes from a Judeo-Christian point of view (slavery was the norm prior to Christianity and was ended by people who believed in human dignity based on the Bible) 2) God gave the law to a wicked and evil humanity to work a plan to eventually restore humanity 3) slavery and human rights thinking is progressively made more clear as we get into the New Testament 4) The Old Testament treats slaves with more dignity than other societies of the time

Why is the bible set up like the goosebumps books that when read to a certain page says skip to page for [insert options here]. What I just heard is an allegory for procreation. I have eternal life through brought in by my seed so long as the life is male. Why male? Are there traits only passed on by male? Female? Trick of the trade? Or is DaVinci code correct that it is in females, women, that man has eternal life because without the feminine man cannot live on? Maybe women can reproduce asexually when no men are around? Life finds a way. Men do not have the equipment, though, to reproduce if this kind of gene were activated. 😮 all what ifs, but food for thought.

Look, as a Christian, let me make this clear: we cannot prove any of the miracles in the Bible. That's why we call it faith. There is no way for us to prove our faith scientifically. If we could prove it, then it would not require faith. It's just that true and simple.

See this isn't the correct context when someone like me is talking about faith being a belief without reason. I have reason to believe my wife wont skip town and have a one night stand behind my back because she has given me reason to trust her. But faith in god usually means belief without reason. If you had reason to believe in god you wouldn't need faith.
@revivalinjesusway6 ай бұрын
Well, thanks for a detailed comment. "If you had reason to believe in God, then you wouldn't need faith", this is very common claim in our modern time church, but it's wrong. Because it's based on a wrong definition of faith.
@alexmorgan21486 ай бұрын
@@revivalinjesusway not really. You're called to believe even if you have never seen any reason to believe in God. "Blessed are those who believe and have not seen" right? That's belief without reason. That's the faith I'm referring to when I talk about belief in God.

@@alexmorgan2148 Good question, a lot of people have a misunderstanding about that verse. You don't have to physically see Jesus (or any historical figure) to have good evidence about him.
