Surgical testing-I don’t agree. Parrot reproductive organs are tiny and Quaker parrot gonads even tinier outside of the breeding season. Surgical sexing was NOT used to tell the sex of Quaker parrot.

many good points in this video about Quaker parrots. My Quaker parrot is 21 now mellowing out in his old age now. he still likes to prank me, aggravate me, and give me a hard time. I retired 11 years ago so now i open their cage up and let them out for the day. they love it. I have a 15 year old green cheek conure also. qp and his green cheek buddy are the best of friends and they spend most of their day together. My QP comes out to land on my bald head and slide ( lol), preen me, and get treats, sunflower seeds, raisins, and Cheerios. etc.I hope he'll make a few more years.

never listen to the government, these assfaces have no regard for anyone, if you feed them well and have a garden with a tree they like, they will nest there on their own accord, never let anyone tell you what you can or cant do, specially regarding nature, as it is natural, FYI I've have numerous nests in my garden and house, some of them have even formed bonds with me as they responded to my calls, this takes time obviously, anyway, fuck the government, don't vax and do keep hummingbirds as pets, they don't need to be caged, they will learn to trust you like most other animals, don't underestimate intelligence.

I’ve adopted a love bird from a friend, she said that he’s friendly but when i took him he doesn’t want me to communicate with him at all not even be close to him he looks like he has never been close to a human before, bites and scratches and run around when i’m not even close to the cage he just doesn’t want me near him at all, what should i do to make him less stressed and scared and bond with him, i tried everything i give him a safe space i don’t touch him at all and i also tried to hold him even if he bites but i couldn’t continue because his bites hurts so much, i tried to approach him with food gently and without food also gently, I’ve tried everything i read on internet 😢

yeah I love quiet pets as I have autism that can get into feelings of violent rage at too much noise, so I dont think a parot would be it.. sadly..

Your caption is about QUAKER PARROT but The bird you are showing is a COCKATIEL and NOT A QUAKER. And the cage is too small for that COCKATIEL.

Those are definitely some familiar sounds, the health care facility I work at has some small parrots including lovebirds. I definitely hear a lot from the two that had their 3 eggs hatched at the end of April, and their younglings definitely add to it.

The behaviour of the males and the females is very different. The females don't care about food and only show interest in getting attention. The males only care about food. If you show him some food he will do whatever it needs to get the food and they always look like they are starving no matter how much you feed them.

Does she do it in cage? Mine is always agresive inside cage... females consider it as nest, and are realy protective... outside is different story Outside of cage, you can close fist so she does not see finger, and put hand under her chest. Hopefuly she jumps on hand....

This cage is smaller than what is legal in Sweden. Also they should not be alone. Where is its partner??? Always have minimum 2 birds. They become depressed

@larawaldron7878 Жыл бұрын
You should note that a bird biting is never the birds fault, it is almost always your fault, whether you pet a spot they didn’t want, they were hormonal and didn’t want you there, never get mad at your bird even when it’s frustrating, and yelling at the bird when they bite does not help and will make them continue to bite, try blowing on them or slightly shaking what they are on so they get disrupted or distracted from being angry
@LadyVader11 ай бұрын
Exactly! Biting is communicating for them. Just because WE don't always know why they bit, THEY always have a reason.
