Yes, absolutely! But not in harsh waters or rivers please. But totally fine in lakes etc. it holds 110+kg so that should totally work! Happy paddeling!

i believe it's german. there's programs that allow you to translate screenshots, so maybe try one of those.

Hello, I am undecided between the pr 500 or the pr 100 for small tours in the sea in the mornings. I know that the purpose of using packrafts is lakes and rivers, but I really need the practicality of the packraft and I believe that it can be driven in the sea as well. Do you think there will be a big difference in tracking between the pr 100 and the pr 500? Which one should I buy? In terms of price and performance, the pr 100 seems more reasonable to me.

I hope I can help you. The BIG question is not the price but the weight of the boat. This one has onle 2kg!! which is fantastic for everything i am doing. In heavier rivers (with a bit of white water) I would love to have some parts of the 500 but its heavier so I would always go with the 100. The other problem you will have in the sea are waves & wind. I dont know the 500 but i know that all light boats are very much problematic with winds and esp. waves. So I dont think you will be able to drive long routes with it likt it is possible in rivers or mild, flat lakes. Its really hard to say but i would look at (sure) the price, the weight (2 vs 5 kg i think) and what that the 100 is open, so whater could possible fill up your boat! Your ideas are very important to me, thank you very much. I think I will go with the PR 100. My main goal will be to explore calm lakes and rivers, but I am thinking of doing a few km in the sea in front of my house for morning exercise. The wind and waves will definitely cause problems in this regard. Maybe I can make it go a little bit flat by adding a skeg.

hmmm i dont think that lower is possible. do you still own a t440s? The game might run smoother now for some updates in the last years. maybe just give it a try

Just discovered your channel, appreciate the T14s videos. Nice to see what the 780m can do inside a thin & light instead of all the other tests with gaming laptop hardware/cooling I know in some of your older videos you said there were some driver issues with some games, did those ever get resolved?

Thank you. I really appreciate your comment. Thats excatly why i am doing this since many years with all my #lenovo #thinkpads (x220 t440s t480s and now the t14s). I wannt to keep the laptop as it is and use no overclocking or cooling down and so on. To your question: Some of the issues have been solved. Others not. I actually NEVER play at "best performance" settings in windows 11 since crashes will happen. And its oldschool - hard restart crashes we are talking here! So i play at "balanced" and that works without any crashes at all on a bit lower settings. Of course best performance would be cool for better graphics and higher framerate - so i really hope they solve this issue. In the meantime I would go with "Balanced". Feel free to ask anything here if you have any other questions!

@@ILIKESCIFI Interesting, in my limited testing, best performance has been fine, but I've never tried more intensive titles. This is with AMD provided drivers, not just the lenovo/windows detected ones. What are some of the games that have had serious issues or wouldn't run? I would've thought cyberpunk was pretty high up there, but you managed some pretty decent settings on it

I am not sure but it would def. work. I was playing Dayz on my t480s with a mx150 and it worked on low settings. You cant except high settings of course.

Absolutely! I am doing this since many years with all of my lenovo books (x220, t440s & t480s) - the only downside with the 780m right now is that the driver seems to be a bit laggy. Some games are crashing for reasons i dont understand (heat is at 53 max ) - so everything should work. But I hope AMD is solving this problem. For everything else, the t14s is absolutely amazing!

@@publicboxevery5769 No loud fans or anything. The temps have not been checkt with this game but with others. And i must confess that the 780m crashed from time to time (when the energy level of the laptop has been set to max!!!!) -> i set it to balanced and it works 90% of the time with a bit lower graphics settings.

This packraft is much more fun on (good flowing) rivers. Sits comfortably, can take quite some beating, but on lakes it is so terribly slow I get annoyed after a while and the straight course is a complete disaster because it does not come with a fin (and fin holder ). Tip: buy an adhesive fin mount, put that fin underneath it and you will thank me, I'm positive 😇😉 On shallow rivers it depends on how many shallow spots you will encounter. Grtz Eckie

You can find a couple of simple tutorials in my channel (feel free to subscribe and like of course!). You can find more tutorials and free stuff on my Patreon page as well if you are interested! And sure thing - use free assets and packs in the beginning - that makes everything much easier and more fun as well! Good gamedev journey!
