since youre a photographer i wanna know what camera is best quality for price for an a first good camera i always wanted to take pictures of places i go to otherwise good video :)
@DeveloperSeth14 күн бұрын
hmm okay well, it majorly depends on your budget and other things but generally if you are just starting out I would recommend looking for a kit on amazon. It wont be the best highest quality but it will be a tier up from your phone. I would recommend going with Canon or Sony if possible. I personally have a Sony A7IV. But any kit on amazon should come with everything you need and save you a little money on all the other accessories. A common saying in the photography world is "its not the camera, its what the photographer can do with the camera". Hope I was able to help :)

@@DeveloperSeth i would recommend sony definitly but not the standard A7 line. I would recommend going for the A7R. You can get really affordable older versions. I bought the a7rii 2 years ago for 800 euros. And the R line is specificaly for taking pictures. The MP are just higher and The a7IV is just not worth it if your only using it for photography. And ofcourse invest in good prime lens.

So... that's neat and all, and I can see this as a way to try out making art or getting familiar with the technology more... To be clear, though, this is not a game prototype, because there is no game here. You plant stuff, and it grows... so what? Would you want to play this for a while? Let's suppose you ironed out the bugs in the graphics so that it does look right; is there a game here you would want to play, as is? When I think of game prototype, there's an entirely different track, which is to go ALL IN on programmer art, not even really bothering with animations, so that the focus is 100% on game logic and game play. The goal is to get a game that you enjoy playing even with the programmer art because the game offers enough meaningful activity and decisions to the player that they almost overlook the lackluster art. Once you got your gameplay down, your prototype is complete, and now you can start focusing on the game's aesthetics. But you seemed to take an entirely different track, investing a lot of energy into aesthetics when I don't see any game play here, other than placing farming plots, which is an unmotivated mechanic.

I've spent quite time with isometric pixel art it feels really rewarding when a good sprite is finished. Also I've spent a lot of time trying to make 2.5d lighting like in Sea of Stars but to be short it is unreasonably hard and I decided to try out making 3d game now because to make good shadows scene needs to be 3d anyway (if you are not brave enough to make ur own c++ engine lol). A little advice for non-artist bro - using 3d models with pixelated ortho view render is very helpfull in drawing all sorts of pixel art objects. Unity is a solid choice as well as roguelike genre so good luck in solving all the null reference exceptions i'm subscribed for progress)

I like the art style, but I would prefer the character to be shorter, similar to Moonlight's character

@@Dactarium hmm that’s fair I’ll mess around with the players height and see what looks better

@@DeveloperSeth From a combat perspective, it may be more enjoyable. Instead of having an extended hitbox, we will have a nearly square or circular hitbox

I wish i did more prototypes when i was starting off, instead i got ambitious and wanted to make full games and well that never worked out so almost 2 years later i have now decided I'm gonna start to just make prototypes instead of going for a full game, my skills need some work as does the way i look at this hobby because i was always putting myself down for not being able to finish any games and that's not how a hobby should be.
@DeveloperSeth3 ай бұрын
@@cheesymcnuggets I was in a very similar boat to you, know I’m making prototypes and allowing myself to now finish a prototype. After all not all prototypes are worth finishing. Remember it’s a hobby and you should have fun with it
