A suggestion if I may. You could rent a mag drill to remove those broken bolts and then tap for the size studs you prefer. That is the best option I can suggest.

Don’t you just love how it hits the sway bar. I made a shield to deflect it right to the pan. Since I lifted it ( Thanks to you) it’s an easy job with no ramps 😉. This time when you lift this thing you might want to check out rear lower arm cam bushings. I put them on mine and it gives you more camber. I get them from Australia. 🇦🇺 rear tires straight and more room to adjust if needed. They are K-Mac and are very tough made for W163. Called talked to the owner great guy. Had them in 7 days.

2000 shouldn't have fiber optic so it will be a much easier radio install. not sure if ML55 has factory bose speakers, but can check with an online benz VIN decoder. for radio, it's common to get a hissing noise after install. that can be fixed with a ground loop isolator or running a radio harness to RCA to radio setup, though this will bypass the subwoofer.
