Why didn't you use the midpoint method?

if price of complementary good is decreased, then people will buy more of complementary good, and less of the good we are speaking of, hence the demand for the good will be decreased right?
@ThinkEcon7 күн бұрын
Not quite. What you’re describing is actually substitute goods. The way to think of complementary goods is like this: For simplicity let’s say peanut butter and jelly are complementary goods. You only consume them together, but rarely/never on their own (I know this is an unrealistic assumption but just bear with me on it for this example). If the price of peanut butter decreases, you’ll increase your quantity demanded of peanut butter, however you’ll increase your demand for jelly as well, even though nothing has directly happened to the price of jelly. Does this help?

So the producers‘ curve goes up and the buyer‘s curve goes down? Thanks a lot!
@GAYAsifax14 күн бұрын
😮from the supply equation I see that the Qo = P that is to say the supply curve is a straight line parallel to the quantity axis so your drawing is wrong
