I think it depends on the department and faculty. I think I applied in sept/Nov. I got a mail saying I'd been recommended for admission to the department around December ish and I got the admission letter in February, I think.

@podamaster I was required to pay a deposit of about 1k I think. But they won't give a different admission letter. Your offer remains the same. But paying a deposit helps you with your visa application
