Can you please let me know how does construction people calculate construction costs. Some Baases say they charge for construction cost only for the structures , for 1 sq.ft. Rs.3,000/- Rs.3,500/-. Which means for 1,000 sq.ft Floor area and slab area, construction cost they tell as 30 lakhs.. without cost for doors and windows with wood. These costs were stated only for the structure building, inclusive of Ground breaking, Rubble foundation with Tie Beam, without considering howmany Base Columns are involved, their construction costs were given as Rs.3 000 to 3 500/- ( if it is bricks) How correct are these amounts, could you please tell me whether these amounts are genuine , how should we correctly decide on our construction cost and what should be the correct range of cost that we should budget for when discussing rates with construction teams ? How should we ask the quotation for ? Should we ask for quotation for each item separately, which way is more practical for us to gauge the exact cost or atleadt close up budget. For example, should we ask for ground breaking and rubble foundation with Tiebeam cost Then floor Concrete cost depending on thickness of 3" or 4" What should be the average thickness of a floor concrete over the tirbeam foundation Should we ask for sq.ft price for wall raising. Depending on cost as per Bricks or Cement Blocks Then the slab thickness and cost as per sq.ft. usually the average slab thickness should be 5" for the first floor. Then to finish off with the finishing roof. A finishing Roof also, the costs shoukd ne discussed as per the area covered, so if it is 1000 to 1100 sq.ft Should the cost be rated as per sq.ft.. Could you please post a video on these issues , also could you please give us your contact details in order to get any help Do you undertake construction or do you have anybody whom you could recommend for genuine work and to give us genuine cost without inflated rates as per the present market rates. Recently I saw a video calculation on a base column to be around Rs.29,000/- as per 2024 building material rates, for cement sand, metal stones and steel rods with melba 12" gauge. But some bases quote Rs.30,000 - to 33,000 for one single column. Tie Beams also, they quote as per one sq.ft. so when you add up it adds up to quite a heavy amount. These are the areas they hike up and fool the clients. Please help if you do have honest construction team foe house building We can get the approved house plan across to them. They only have to give us the genuine rates.
