I run mine off a water bag with a chunk of hose to a water bottle. Yeah it takes 10-15 minutes to fill a bottle but how big a hurry are you in?

Dude, you bought a flashlight, not a hammer. This is really a dumb test. A drop test, I understand, framing a house with your flashlight, is very dumb.

Let me explain real quick. We've never been to the moon. We have nothing outside our solar system. There are no pictures from Mars. Now do you understand why your radio doesn't work? You've been lied to your entire life Kevin.

Very resourceful! Highway clean-up can provide many valuable & useful resources. I am much older than you, but we seem to share many similar values. Several years ago while entering/exiting our hunting lease, I noticed a daypack in the ditch. Although it was empty, I recovered it & use it as a back-up day pack to be kept in another vehicle. After scanning through the variety of your videos, I was motivated to subscribe. My wife & I live on beautiful Weiss Lake in NE AL, which is known for its abundance of Crappie; if you ever in this area, you are welcome to fish from our pier or waterfront. I appreciate your investment of time & energy in sharing your videos with your viewers. Mya God bless you. The Old Preacher

First of all, I appreciate your inclusion of God's Word (Bible) in your kit. It serves as my Spiritual GPS & "...is a lamp unto my feet & a light unto my path,." . Your kit is similar to my Old School set-up except I prefer a topo map & compass to the GPS. In addition to the mirror I also include a good whistle. Bibles are heavy, so I try to include a compact version whose small print is hard on 83 year old eyes. However, a magnifier makes it readable & provides a supplemental fire starter. Perhaps I missed it, but did you have any means of water purification? Purification tablets are very light & require minimal space, but I also like having a metal container in which water can be boiled. My hunting day back is basically my year-round woods pack except for the extra ammo. Thank you for a clear & well-explained presentation. May God bless you & yours, as well as all your viewers & subscribers. The Old Preacher.

to prove your point, you could show your backflush technique with it, illustrating that it indeed doesnt work. Just saw the "proper" backflush technique sawyer shows african women to do, and they use it for decades without replacing. As it stands, I'm just assuming that youre backflushing wrong, and nothing is wrong with the filter.

Msr trailshot or befree works bette. The be free you shake it with a small amount of soap then flush it you can see the dirty fall off it then dry it. The be free bag does tend to rip over time but most running flasks also fit so I have a back bag because I go with soft flasks

Hey there. I have been using this little fellow for one year now as my main filter. Daily like 4-5 liters of water. Regular cleaning, and that's it. Best relation price-value. I should add I use it for tap water. That river is VERY muddy. No surprise the filter doesn't work. I usually let it work naturally and backflush it every two days or so with already filtered water. I would use it though for rainwater or try to get a cleaner water source.

Good to know IMO those portable filters are just for weekend campouts and strictly emergency limited use. If it were a genuine SHTF, I'd be suspect of any surface water since it's so easily tampered with. These Squeeze and Grayls aren't going to take certain pollutants out. A more dependable (?) thing would be to prefilter any gunk and sediment with say coffee filters or clean cloth and then chemically treat for pathogens If you're trying to E&E, you don't want a fire for boiling. At your safe place, I'd boil and treat. Good Luck everybody Thanks for the video❤ Looking forward to many more

The he Grayl Geo press are pretty good filters. Expensive and don’t filter near as much as other filters claim but they are fast filtering and simple to use.
@jhosk4 ай бұрын
They are good until storage, I think it's calcium buildup inside when dry. I keep some as spares. If you want better filtration then look at the katadin pump filter or if they ever allowed to sell again is the Berkey

I agree regarding the mini, got one, it worked great maybe three times ? Then the flow rate was insanely slow, to the point where it was just useless. I will say, I’m in my second Sawyer squeeze and it’s great. No issues at all, backflush after every outing, very good flow. Peace ✌️
