Trails and Passes was my fav album of theirs when I first heard them, but man, this one has REALLY grown on me. Howl and Tyrant's Tongue especially are just... Ugh. Such a savage beat. This band has an incredible and unique way of feeling like they're channeling some natural serenity and wrath at the same time, like weeds growing through abandoned concrete or a river flooding a mine. I haven't found any other band that *quite* hits the same chord. So good.

I've been gone so long I travel then carry in my worn out load And I'll laugh and lie Afraid to show my demons in my down You say I talk to gods That I log the stories And bury them within my mind Though I know they're fake The truth is bitter and will haunt me towards my grave And I've been gone so long And all the memories that I had of you is gone Let me in, I'll change Still I wonder why I wasted all my days Signs on the water That flickering light into my mind tonight Signs on the water Throughout the haze, your loving grace tonight Signs on the water Some days turn down And here I run alone Signs on the water The weary seal had to heal alone Heading for that far away lights And I've been gone so long Heading for something new mighter I've been gone so long And although I'm still so tired And the road does seem so long I follow one direction And I've been gone so long

So I totally thought that every track on this album was kind of throwaway the first time I heard it. I'm a big Dozer fan and was expecting a lot heavier type of music. But I persevered and every track is not throwaway, they are the opposite. There is no single stand out track because they are all fucking great singles. there are incredible delicacies in each song which only reveal themselves after complete immersion. If any KYUSSWORLD member feels the need for a new fandom, these guys are it. Glistening blues golden rock from the hidden parts of the world dripping in moss and moonlight, this is desert rock in it's most succulent version.

As a fellow HUGE Dozer fan one must start the complete immersion at Trails and Passes, Arvid (singer) and Sabastian (drums) were the key to unlocking Tommis vision to to next level. Now to get these boys to the states!!
