Interesting. I think I understand most of the techniques, but the finesse is not conducive to practice, apart from the fact that there is always a human behind the technique :D

I also practice Aikido and some Bagua (8 mother palms). Sometimes during Aikido practice, the Bagua shapes do come out naturally.

At about 1:24 your empty (secret sword) hand is very close to the tip of your sword. I assume both sides of the tip of the sword are very sharp...this seems unwise to me.

As with what I imagine must he quite a few people, I first heard about bagua when reading background on Avatar (the cartoon, not blue space cats). It's interesting how delicate and graceful it can look. I'm neither of those things, so it really interests me.

I've been practicing Baguazhang since 1996 and have seen hundreds of performances over the years and this has to be the best, imho 🙏♥️☮

We did a lot of this in ninjutsu. People seeing a video of us practicing couldn't understand why a guy fell down when we had hardly touched him because they were looking at the hands, not the legs.

You're right; your form is a work in progress---but, as long as you can see that, your form will continue to improve, because you will look for the improvement, inside yourself. Keep training, man:)

Genuine and respectful question: it is supposed to be a martial application or just some sort of physical training?
@pgskills Жыл бұрын
He shows some apps at the end of the vid. Just fyi, Baguazhang movements tend to be more a matter of principles rather than just one or two apps from a specific movement. Also, many BGZ movements have wrestling and grappling possibilities within them.
