Hello Fulton. This is a year year old video but it's new to me. This is a wonderful print, really lovely. Like you, I've been fascinated with geometric shapes for a very long time. For the collages, I started to cut square and circular tissue shapes, with a hole in in the middle, I like the result. I'm definitely going to try this technique very soon. This video was a joy to watch, peaceful, entertaining and instructive, all in one!

I tried to see what Jerry's Artorama had in stock, but I was blocked at once! I don't know why. Perhaps I live too far away t but I have had no problems with Blick which is just as far away. (Seychelles).

I love your work! What type of paper do you use to get the shiny effect???
@artwhisperer882 күн бұрын
the shiny effect is from the paint, not the paper. I can coat the print with gloss medium if I want a shiny finish

Yeah, these made a lovely set. I was watching your Rauschenburg inspired and remembering the days I too could walk round the block and pick stuff up, mostly ply wood to work on but my painting table, chairs I recovered. Now there's a law stops people leaving stuff. I think Rauschenburg remarked something similar had happened in NY. Nice paper the Strathmore.

Oh Em Gee! How am I supposed to pick a favorite! I choose #1 #2 #3 and #4 😂 Actually, that makes 8 in total that are faves, 4 before collage and 4 after collage. You really set the bar today! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us. 🙏🏻

I always enjoy your inspiration pieces. And look through my own books for color schemes and design. But this is all retrospective. What do you think is the next jump in art? Why is the third print always the favorite? Is it the unexpected mixing of the first two ?

Hi Fulton, these colors just popped together in a most exciting way. Of course adding your marks and collage papers make the works of art. Love the added texture from the tissue paper. Again, your gentle demeanor, understandable process with guiding tools for your viewers is second to none. I found them all beautiful. Thank you and sending blessings.❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yes! I’ve transferred my Nova paints to condiment squeeze bottles. They come in a multitude of sizes and I like it a lot better than using a spoon or palette knife.

Hello Fulton. I have just finished watching this video as I had breakfast. It's always a lovely, peaceful, start to my day. I found this channel a few weeks ago and subscribed. I left a comment saying you had inspired so much, that I ordered a 5x7 Gelli plate. My wife Anne has a 10 x 8 Gelli plate. I tried it a couple of years ago, but felt a little lost. After one or two disappointing results with my 5 x 7 plate, I built a registration jig and things improved. I began to produce some nice pieces. I just wanted to thank you for opening a new creative path for me.

Hi Fulton, I learned a great deal from this video. Your consistent commentary and explanation is helpful and inspiring. All three are original and eye catching. I believe this was the first time I didn’t see you using circles in collage. The mark making seems to complement all elements within these works of art. Again the color palette blends beautifully. Love the third pieces. Thank you for your teaching and doing another great artist homage. Sending blessings your way.❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you for this very nice homage to Robert Rauschenberg. He is one of my favorite artists. His life and rise as a famous artist is interesting. Mr. Rauschenberg was the epitome of a "starving artist" because he was so poor he often had no money to eat, let alone to pay for his art supplies. It was because of this that he became what is known as a "trash" artist and he would implement what he found on the streets to fill the void of paint and supplies that he could not buy. He used found candy wrappers, nails, license plates, among many other things to create his pop art pieces. Great job Whisperer.

All three of these got my attention, especially the first and last one. You’ve been an inspiration to me since I first discovered you back in April. I appreciate that you take the time to explain the process in detail. Thank you for all you do. 🙏🏻 Do you use any kind of fixative for protection before you sell or frame your art? *I saw a video of Robert Rauschenberg on a show called Sunday at the Met. It’s a really cool interview from February 2006.*
@artwhisperer884 күн бұрын
I will only apply a sealer or a fixative if the material smears, like a pastel, otherwise, no. Mod Podge is a sealer in itself.
