I've been told that with mares you cross the hind leg straps but with male horses you generally don't cross them. That's because male horses may pee on the hind straps if they are crossed.

Looks like a standard wash/shower hot/cold control device, yes? If you have hot water do you know the basin capacity you would suggest and the heating costs. thanks

You people should not be putting jackets on horses. They are very, very uncomfortable for the Horse. In New Zealand it is observed that in summer people do it. This means that the Horse is unhappy, they are Semi-Sentient and have feelings and a sense of humour. They require ventilation in order to cool down. The only weather where a horse requires a jacket is Antarctic conditions. So please take the jackets off and the Horses will be much happier. It would be observed that they are happy and more playful without the jacket. I am the Arkangel Daniel and I am from Heaven.

my thoroughbred with a very thin coat and skin needs one in the winter in my country its not the same as rugging a big cold blood your clearly inexperienced

@@danielcostigan8182 What type of weather do you have? If it is snowing that would be cold enough. If it is not then it is too hot. We get our information from the Horse. There are signs of when a Horse is cold, they shiver violently. If they are not shivering then they do not require a jacket. In New Zealand the Horses are mistreated by all owners and they wear jackets all year. They are extremely cruel to Horses, it is like wearing a hot jacket, you cannot take it off on a hot day. In the future people will go to Prison if they continue doing it. I am just letting you all know now but it will become Law in the near future no matter where you are. Your assumption of inexperience is pure arrogance. I am the Arkangel Daniel and I am from Heaven.

Is this a storage for hay bales? Not sure how the animals eat the bale.

It's a slow feeder, for big fat piggy ponies like my Belgian cross mare. She can destroy a bale by herself within a week if given the opportunity. It slows piggies down, but at the same time, it encourages thin horses to eat more since it's more like natural grazing. Your fat ones will lose, your thin ones will gain, waste is reduced, and I wouldn't trade my nets for anything, they've saved me so much time and money.

This and the bar bar waterer only waterers on market that waste more water than the animals drink. Anything more than a a few animals and you will literally waste thousands of gallons of water a yr. every time paddle is released water is draining away . Not practical for larger numbers of livestock.
