Thanks for the memories. I left China in 1983 and haven’t been back since. But what was shown here probably isn’t too different from 1983. What nostalgia. And to think how much it has changed since then. Amazing. Looking forward to visiting the land of my birth.

How do you make the videos in great quality? Amazing channel you have, fantastic to see what Asia was like back in the nineties! Especially during my time in Hong Kong (1999 to 2010)

Sydney really hasn't changed much at all. Except the lock out laws which killed the City's night life.

That's the China I lived in when I was a foreign student in Beijing. I remember Guangzhou exactly like this. I love that old China, and the new China too. Gotta loooove China🇨🇳!

can u imagine growing up in a first world country in asia during the 90s and 2000s??? hong kong, taiwan, singapore etc etc advanced, developed, educated, gentile.....and the birth of the internet and digital age, its like u were part of modernity and modern world and culture and the beginning and cusp of alienation and isolation of society through technology...... back in the 90s there were a handful of countries in asia with gdp per cap higher than $20,000 usd........hong kong,Singapore,Japan.....Japan was even richer than america at one point.....her gdp per cap was close to $39,000 usd while USA was only $28,000..... during the late 90s and y2k movies like fight club, the matrix, dark city and thirteenth floor and minority report was extremely popular....animes about sci fi and humanity was extremely popular.... society was becoming cold and indifferent and inhumane and isolating..... rise of hikikomoris and neets and first world problems...... that was the period just before globalisation and mass immigration ruined everything, cultures were intact and homogenous most of the world dont know whats it like to grow up first world during the 90s and 00s.....

0:18 I am a Gen Z but honestly that girl in green is one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Well dressed, no makeup, no cosmetic surgery, no sophistcated material that would change her natural look. She radiates simplicity & pristine like a Sakura Blossom. From my point of view seeing her as she was in that video is so satisfying as it is something I don't often see nowadays.

Awesome! I first came to China in 2004 and I am extremely thankful I took as many photos and videos as I did back then! Even the changes between then and now were amazing! But this view of 33 years ago is stunning and amazing to watch! Thank you for sharing!

Great stuff. I was there about a year later. I remember there were very little cars on the road back then, a few trucks. People were staring at me a lot, were not used to any foreigners. I lived in China from 2008 till 2016, but it was nothing like in early 90 s.

I assume today is no different, since chinese are poor and cannot afford cars or there is not enough space to park? I know they sell cars there but only fro the minority rich people. Communist countries are so different from the rich West Europe and USA.
