Actually, I was trying to make a longer track out of this one and the previous track but I didn't find a good solution... So, maybe it helps to listen to both of them in order :D

Ah, you know, it's a massive upgrade from the original Digitone, so much more sound shaping possibilities, an obundance of tracks, proper chord editing, compressor, audio routing. Because of the many tracks, I much rather compose everything in one pattern and that's just nice. And the convenience features of looping a page or the transpose buttons: Everything is better. You could produce an album on Elektron machines before but with some clever programming and song mode, this one makes it much easier. I thought about getting the Digitakt 2 because of the workflow improvements alone, although I don't use samples too much :D

Thanks! Dreading the future is also a fantastic choice. But you can safely mix them as well to enjoy the best of both worlds!

If you look close, you can see there are eight. It's just that only the top row is lit up because the pattern uses only four measures.

Hope you're doing well as well! (Is that too much wells?) I think a lot of Elektron users will be very happy with the new Digitone! Having 16 tracks is very comfortable :D

Yeah, it's an overlap machine :D I was about to get some kind of digital synth anyway to pair it with my Syntakt. But then the Elektron gods released the perfect machine for that. It's even cheaper than the Waldorf M I was going to get... And it's super nice to run Syntakt into the compressor of the Digitone which has side chain filtering and all that stuff as well. Hope you're doing alright as well!
