My dad lives here! Never thought about driving down in my camper with the bike. Is there any near by trails or tours I might be able to tag along with? I have an enduro road legal bike

What is wrong with the cast wheels ist it lighter
@Adventurebikeridersgib13 күн бұрын
Cast wheels break easier, spoked wheels flex more and don't break that easily, even if you damage a few spokes you can still carry on. But cast wheels are fine if you don't go offroad extreme.

Thank you for sharing. The NX500 looks like a very capable motorcycle in many ways. Thank you for reminding me not to try the TET. It looks as bad in Spain as it does in Wales. It is certainly not for me. I'm 66 and prefer to stay on the roads.

How about Royal Enfield 450? Spoked 21inches front, 18 rear wheel. Cheaper than nx500 🙃

I found that adding the bar end weights helped to reduce some of the buzzing at the grips. Also switched to a GT handlebar as it is the same width but has more BMW like sweep (mine is a 2021 so maybe Triumph changed)...doesnt reduce vibrations, but the revised wrist angle makes helps make them more tolerable YMMV. But the single most effective change that cut vibrations down significantly is do not use the factory crash bars...they resonate at typical highway RPMs, and the vibes are amplified. I currently use AKURAT, but others may work as well (DO NOT USE T-REX!!! It's a solid product for protection, but they resonate even worse!). Another benefit of using GT bars, they allow the use of the Givi sport screen D6415s. Big improvement over the stock...reduces buffeting and noise, particularly at the shoulders. Not too tall for off-road use as well. Cheers!

I just sold my F800 GS because it is too heavy and top heavy at that. Plus it has a ridiculously small fuel tank (16 litres). I just purchased a CB 500X and will be picking it up in a couple days. Even just on a long test ride , I can tell the bike is lighter and better balanced. Can't wait to get it off road!

A follow-up to my last post having had the bike for a few months now and taking it on a first green lane trail ride this past weekend. To position the ride, it was pitched as a newcomers beginners ride, so I'm thinking some gravel, maybe some light lanes, grass, maybe some dried mud.... BUT NO! Full on slushy, mushy, muddy, deep mud, large puddles 2ft deep and I was on Pirelli Scorpion trail IIs. The other guys were on full on 2 stroke trail bikes - Husqvarnas etc. - but the CB held up fantastically well! I was debating whether to spend the money modifying my CB for more off road or getting a proper trail bike instead. However, watching your video again today has convinced me to stick with the CB. I was able to ride away after the trail on my 30 min ride home on motorways and no problems. The trail bikes has to be loaded up into vans! CB for me - thanks again for posting such a great video!

I lived in Spain when I was younger, between Estepona and San Pedro. I used to tear along roads like that on my Puch Minicross (Upgraded to 75cc) when I was 15 years old. This was back in the early 1980's when the Guardia Civil used to patrol the beaches in their 4x4 landrovers and I would always try to avoid them as I had no licence, insurance or papers for my bike. Good times!
