@geotranscanada no, they're no couple off the ice. robin has a girlfriend, but he doesn't say who she is because of the media, and aliona doesn't say anything about her privat situation. :) they're just a couple on the ice, but a fantastic couple!!! :D they will skate at least until the olympics in 2014 because they want to win the gold medal there. :)

Die beiden sind einfach immer wieder eine wahre Augenweide! Auf dem Eis oder auf dem Trockenen, ganz egal. Ich hab mich so für ihren Titel bei der WM gefreut :)

So geil. Da hört man bei ihrem starken russischen (ja, ukrainischen) Akzent doch tatsächlich einen derben sächsischen Dialekt raus. Das klingt so herrlich.

@fujisaki15061985 jetzt halt aber mal die luft an! 1. sie stammt aus der ukraine. check your facts, mate! 2. sie lernt deutsch doch gerade und dafür, dass sie erst 2003 nach deutschland gekommen ist, spricht sie sehr gut deutsch! besser, als viele andere 'deutsche'. 3. sie kann es wenigstens. sonst würden die beiden nicht ständig gewinnen. machs besser. dann darfst du meckern. deutschland sollte sich glücklich schätzen, ein so begabtes und erfolgreiches paar zu haben!

Thanks for posting this! Just watched their silver medal skate from the worlds in Torino. I love this pair! Both programs were amazing and created such a spell on the audience. They are well choregraphed and show tremendous athleticism. They deserved the gold! My German is not good. Are they perhaps a couple off the ice? Will we see them skate in 2011?
