You can also use this for diagnostics. If the engine starts but dies immediately, that tells you that the ignition is OK but the engine is not getting fuel. I had this happen to a mower, the fault was that the main jet was completely clogged, which only required a partial disassembly of the carburetor, to gain access to the jet and to clean it.

Would you spray that into a hot engine? Engine starts on first pull when cold. Refuses to restart when engine is hot.

I had this problem with a lot of my equipment until I quit using regular gas which burns hot because of ethanol content. I switched to premium which has less ethanol and solved the problem. Plus, I hear the ethanol can lead to melted plastic parts. I tried hard to find ethanol free gas from a local station but it was old and high in water content. The premium gas is available everywhere and has worked great.

Great recipe! Just a word of caution, poking the eggs with a toothpick can introduce botulism spores to the egg's yolk. The botulism will grow in the egg yolks faster than the vinegar can acidify them. So to be safe just don't poke them because botulism can kill you.

I'm afraid I'm not getting the spice flavor I would think would be there, from the pepper corns and chili flakes. Definitely getting the pickle flavor though! Should the spices be heated in the pickling solution first? Thanks for your help. Tried a pickle from the bottom of the jar, and it barely had some "bite" to it. The jar has been pickling for 4 weeks in the fridge.

Not sure if you are aware of this but they make these things called impact drivers and they make repairs like this go very quickly. They run on a battery and everything. You should try it out. Also easy to hold up the hatch by putting a vise grip pliers on the silver part of the strut right under where it meets the black part. Holds it up fine. You can either put it on the other strut while you change the 2nd one or it may hold up the hatch on its own. Always work smarter, not harder. Oh, and those are TORX bits, not star bits. FYI Also just replaced the struts on the hood, was even easier than this! Works like a charm!!
