The sound in the Alamodome always sounds louder than outside...that's why DCI San Antonio now takes place outside for a better sound...I would love to see Texas State Marching Competition at Texas Stadium where the Cowboys play...but that will never happen...
@tbonetime35686 жыл бұрын
andyflagboy I'm not too sure about that because cedar Parks show this year was pretty dang loud outside and just sounded so quiet inside

Great show. You guys were first place in ensemble visual, right? Very clean, and the guard is big and amazing. The music isn't quite as full-bodied or powerful as last year's (where's my low brass at?!!), but still really good. Congrats!

Former DCI Cadet here, that brought me to tears. We performed an arrangement of that back in '91. Bravo!!!
@scotthamilton0074 жыл бұрын
Former Cadet-follower, here! I too was moved to tears listening to this and remembering the ‘91 Cadets show and all of the Cadets’ interpretations of the great works of Aaron Copland. You all must be so proud of your performances, you Woodlands High folks and you Cadets, present and past. What an emotional connection we in the audience had watching these youth perform with such raw skill and discipline. You have no idea what this meant to me, my mother and now-deceased father, and even my very young children the first time they saw a show. Mr. Copland would have been stirred to see such appreciation for his work. What a uniquely human miracle is music, that something so intellectually complex, so cerebral can evoke such intense heartfelt emotion. Thank you, all you young men and women who keep this tradition alive.

OMG! that color guard is fantastic, so aligned, nice story line that flows with the music, and visuals, and formations, this is my first time seeing the woodlands band, tho i have heard some great things about them. I also love the excitement in the music when she says she is coming home. My comments may seem like im judging them, but no, and even if i were they would get a division 1 in my book, but who am i right?

Dillon Sparks Hey Mr. Sparks I'm planning to audition for a world class corps after I graduate, is it still possible to make the cut without past corps experience?
@dillonsparks210010 жыл бұрын
Yes yes it is. I auditioned for acv during my senior year of hs and made the line after a few camps. Its doable, just takes a lot of commitment to detail.
