Someone should work with local carp farmers to breed a mixed breed. It would be more fun if you could keep them in an outside pond!

the silence is so peaceful! Im so used to hearing waterfalls/moving water features with koi ponds....as awesome as they are, i may need to rethink having one.....this is spectacular.

It is a good idea to use this opportunity to reduce their numbers. Otherwise, there is no need for a midway report until the autumn harvest season. That's how rare it is for anyone to scoop up and touch a KOI in the process of maturing in Japan because they do not want to break the habit of feeding.

Hi thanks for your comment, it does say in the video that I am taking some koi out, when raising tosai it is normal that some won't maintain their quality and need to be separated, it is better for the pond to break feeding for a couple of days in order to reduce the stocking load.

Wow amazing! I recently purchased two fish off you on your ebay the Shiro doing well. Sadly I lost the Showa which I was gutted about lovely fish. More to the point that's a beautiful build. Well done John.
