I am learning a lot from your video. Iam from India. I've also a child with special needs. He's suffering from ADHD problem and speech prblm. Now he's 9 years old. But he's a big lover of music. The problem is that, he's not trying to pronounce any word. So to solve that what I have to do Sir?
@RyanJuddMusic3 сағат бұрын
I would first have him evaluated by a speech therapist. I would also start to focus on alternative ways of communicating such as sign language or using an Alternative and Augmentative Communication Device. Not only can this non-verbal way of communicating be so empowering for a child, but it can also help inspire them to speak if they are able. I hope that helps!!!

Do you have an album with songs like this that I can play for my autistic students?
@RyanJuddMusic5 күн бұрын
Hey Lisa, I don't have a published album of songs like this, but if your school wants to contract with me, I could spend a couple of hours recording one or two of these. You can email me at [email protected] if this sounds good.

It’s interesting people keep talking about autistic kids being bullied. But I observe the opposite. I have an “autistic” student in a college class, and all other students treat him quite respectfully. By contrast, he keeps traumatizing the other students. For example, he made a girl cry when he publicly criticized her of not explaining things to him in class. The girl has adhd herself and has her own way to study. Besides, it’s not her job to teach him and his criticism is groundless. I also feel puzzled of the word “ableist”, in an autistic mind, should we be punished by being considerate, while they can get away with being rude because they can attribute it to autism? Do they consider people with other type of neural divergence such as adhd inferior to autistic people? Or are they faking autism with other kind of mental problem? Faking autism is much more harmful to autistic people because it will give the impression that autistic people feel more entitled than normal people. I worked with students with adhd, I have more empathy for them and they don’t feel entitled at all.

I'm mid-functioning and camouflaging so it sucks that my friends and family don't see inside my mind because it's a terrifying and harsh way to grow up i thought everyone was like me until i got older and started questioning all of my friends and the truth is I'm a tiny and soft spec in a hard and ever expanding infinity of darkness please make sure that you have your kids checked out by multiple professionals
