I had the same problem with the alternator on my 9500jd combine when I bought it 2 years ago. I cheaped out and matched a jobber one from auto electric. Then that 1 failed in 1/2 a day. Best way to remedy that is just swathing canola, we have straight cut canola for quite a few years and we have come to the conclusion that we will swath our straight cut canola next year again. Our 2188 was plugged solid for almost 3 weeks and the 7120 could barely put it through. No need for that if a guy has a swather around and can burn very little fuel to just be able to go through it

This year our canola looked farther advanced then some years so some didnt get heat applied with the helicopter. They just sprayed .7 liter round up. The stuff with heat in the mixture was 3 points drier then just round up. Same variety, seeded same day and sprayed same day. Heat definitely works. We are normally 10-14 days sprayed before ready to combine
