Where are you taking off in Ky? I live in Louisville and we are going out West and we have to go to Indianapolis to Chicago and from there. I wish so bad that Louisville had Amtrak

Cinci is the best option and it's not good - overnight at the natural history museum. Maysville, KY station is worse

It is the garden spots or special places like this shrine that keeps me walking along with you.

I always come back to this video. It's a good one. Another question if you will. I see this F150 is an XLT. I've been going round and round about which F150 to buy, now put off to likely early 2025, and have narrowed it to likely either an aftermarket leveled and customized Platinum or Platinum Plus, or just going right to the F150 Raptor with the 37 package. Do you have any thoughts on a Platinum/Platinum Plus versus a Raptor 37 with an overland set up like yours and handling the added weight and off roads and such? I suspect the Platinum's payload capacity might be similar to the XLT, but I have seen Raptor overland setup vids. And I have seen both with the RSI evo smartcap, as well as with the Diamondback HD bedcover.

Well - I haven't owned a raptor - but I sat in one and looked at one. Ultimately I elected to do the XLT and then mod it - went cheapest I could to get options I wanted and then dressed it up. But speed wasn't really important to me and I couldn't see paying 25k more than I had to - that was like 5 years worth of travel I'd be spending to upgrade the truck - when the entire point was to build a vehicle that made it easier for me to strike out into nature anytime. That's what I did but everyone's situation is different! I think if I had to do it today I'd go even cheaper and buy a used Tacoma or f150 and then start modding.

You can look at it as the biggest aquarium in the world or the smallest habitat in the world where a whale shark can be found.

Is there on site parking? Was that the closest you could park? Because that looks like a huge no go zone for kids and families.
@ThePerfectWalk2 күн бұрын
It wasn’t that bad - and yes there is closer parking. I would pull up the site on google maps, and then search for PARKING - and then look for highly rated lots.

Looks like many of the buildings are boarded up and for lease. Is this an accurate assessment?
@ThePerfectWalk6 күн бұрын
I would say that’s accurate here and in almost every small town in America unfortunately. That’s the impact of ‘big box’ retail and malls over the last 40 years.

I know this is a year old but the correct pronunciation would be kah-goh-shee-mah and Hiroshima would be hee-row-shee-mah. "I" in romanji (Japanese in Latin letters) is almost like a long E sound in English. The Japanese "r" is difficult for most English speakers as is both cities shouldn't really have an emphasis on any syllable. Just flat even delivery.

As I am watching this stunning garden in Portland I am almost in a tranquil state of euphoria drinking up the beauty of nature and thought it would be good to save in my library for my walks which I do inside of the motor home I live in and replay this when the weather is like it has been today, 112 degrees F! It makes you forget this brutal heat and just enjoy the cool greens, the sound of water and oh so beautiful views. Aaaahhh, such relief. Thank you for sharing this and I am so thankful I found this. Edited to tell you that I walk inside every day to get my steps in.....I am 84.
