I love this song.. went with my wife to a restaurant this son was being played,and I had a pastrami sandwich fries and it was so beautiful.. I miss her so much,but heaven has a very very special soul.

It was 1977, the girl I was dating in high school gave me a Skip Mahoney and the Casual album for Christmas. I was on the top of the world with the love of my life and high school graduation 6 months later. We never made it too graduation like most high school crushes. Life went on. She married and started a family. After a decade of sadness, I got my life together. Lucky enough to find someone and started my family. 46 years later, i am now retired and living a comfortable life. Remembered my ex from all those year ago and how she made me go to class and graduate. My life would have been more difficult if I didn't have my high school diploma. Googled my ex and and sent a letter thanking her for getting me to class. Didn't expect a response but she wrote back. We're trying to be friends after 46 years. I was happy to hear her life was a happy one. Hearing this song brings back 50 years of memories. Like @cristinaferreira1413, live in the bay area of California. Skip Mahoney was not well known in our region.

An absolutely beautiful song. I can listen to it over and over. There's so much meaning to be found in this song as you relate it to whatever or whomever it may remind you of. Or what ever it inspires your heart and soul when hearing it. I often get tears in my eyes when that song plays.
