Hey everyone, I am reaching out for help from anyone and everyone. My name is Amy White and I am 19 years old. I have this big life goal of eliminating chronic and non-chronic homelessness in the District of Columbia Metropolitan Area. Helping people is my passion and will always be. No matter what happens in my life I will always try to help people. I am going to do this by opening my own non-profit shelter that will not only host men, women and families who are homeless, but teach them how to better themselves short term and long term. I have had several friends and loved ones who became homeless and could barely afford to eat a meal a day, so I personally saw that homelessness can happen to anyone and it is a hard state to get out of. But this is where I need your help to get me to this goal. I am currently in college majoring in Social Work and Psychology and cannot afford to continue my college education much longer.
