Thanks for the comment! It’s definitely good to have as a backup. While some countries require it, if you’re just heading to a major Canadian city for a weekend from the U.S., you can usually get by without it.

It was my first time, its a wild experience but fun!

The parking is wild-it's more expensive than Disney World! I guess everyone's footing the bill for all the new electric chargers. The location is stunning, with some amazing rides, and it has so much potential if they just cleaned it up a bit. Hopefully, the merger will bring the improvements it needs.

It's one of our favorite hyper coasters-an absolutely amazing ride!

We really appreciate how dark some of the original fairy tale lessons are; they tend to be hidden from us in the U.S. when we're kids. We didn’t encounter some of them until I visited Efteling.

@@dinklifeusa The funny thing is, as a European woman who used to be a European little girl who was told the dark versions. It actually doesn't bother kids that much. They tend to be the coolest fairytales. The lesson resonates but it doesn't become scary cause its in the shape of goats not people. Its age appropriate. For example the 7 goats. If you straight up tell your kids 6 out of the 7 children got m*rdered by a ps*cho cause they were g*llable and a bad guy got into their home. So sweetie distrust the stranger even if his words are sweet like honey. He will come into the house and off you, goodnight. 😱😂 And sometimes its the smart thing to hide, you can survive that way until mommy comes to safe you. If you do that your kid won't sleep tonight.😬🤣 But its a skill you should teach your kids just in case. But goats, and the emphasis is on the little goat being smart. Then you go to bed thinking "good for the littlest goat, when I grow up I wanna be as cunning and strong as that little one". I think in general European kids don't get pampered as much. Their parents trust them with responsibilities early. Independence is taught early by letting them play outside alone or cycle to school. Or teach them to swim in case they end up in the water. Or like the fairytales, teach them how to survive in case you encounter "the big bad wolf". Same goes for the little red ridinghood fairytale where the "wolf" also got into the house and is pretending to be someone you trust. As an adult you can tell what each fairytale was really warning the kids about. Bad people who hide behind a good mask. Somethings thats unfortunately common in any country during any century. But Disney removed the warning, hollowed it out and made it about scoring yourself a rich guy and focusing on external beauty for girls instead of smarts and strength as the fairytales were supposed to be. Frau Holle: be a kind hard working girl cause if you do good you receive good. Don't be a l*zy narc cause that won't get you far in life. Konig Drosselbart: simular message. That and obey your parents. And I saw another version made into a german movie, its basically Taming of the shr*w. The little mermaid: its actually not good to give up what makes you you to please a guy and disregard your fathers warnings cause he won't love the f*ke you and you'll end up destr*yed. Just be yourself. These are such important life lessons to teach kids early on. Thats why there are fairytales.

@@dinklifeusa I actually like the konig drosselbart one. Its so different then the other fairytales. The princess isn't meak and smitten with the prince. No she is feisty. She roasts every suitor that comes to ask for her hand. In a way she is trying to test if the guys have backbone and can handle/love her just the way she is. And yes his deceit and taming of the shr*w part wasn't nice but he is testing if she loves him for him and not his title. He isn't a preppy king and wants a queen of the people. And he gets just that. A n*ughty little prince with a bit of edge to him. 👍😃 Lets see Disney try and copy that one. 🤣 Its very 10 things I hate about you.

When a place charges more than Disney World for parking and its primary landscaping plant is poison ivy, with the park filled with commercial-sized dumpsters and several rides that need to be condemned, it's clear the park has been poorly managed for years, as others have also mentioned. It's important to inform the general public to avoid visiting this place.

Skyway needed heavy refurbishment going into this season but with how much they have going on for the 50th you can’t fault them for doing nothing with it this year. Giant wheel is now open and got massive refurbishment this year. As for why it took so long is because six flags corporate always does stuff later. It’s their strategy for people to come back later in the year. I do agree that it should’ve been open earlier but it’s not really in great adventure’s control like a lot of stuff is. The same goes for flash and log flume. As for the other rides like zumanjaro, Wonder Woman, and Houdini they just need parts. You’re not going to have spare parts for every single part and it takes time to get these parts. There’s just nothing they can do about that. All parks are like that. Oh and cyborg is closed because of flash construction. None of these rides are closed for no reason. I understand being upset not getting to ride everything but you really can’t blame the park for that and it’s only a few rides closed. But people act like most of the park is closed. As for how the park looks I know it’s not like a cedar fair park but I don’t think it’s a bad looking park either. They have done a lot of improvements this year and the biggest thing is probably dream street. In prior years you had to go around where by Rita’s is to get into that area since there was a paintball building there before. But now you can walk straight through. The park president is always their and he’s a really nice guy talking to us. Like Great adventure has the best operations out of any six flags or cedar fair park by far. Cedar fair uses IROC for their operations which slows down dispatch’s. So great adventure does really well there and The parks leadership does care about great adventure but again corporate are the ones that hold these parks back. I do agree they should remove poison Ivy so kids don’t step in it and the parking price is steep. Luckily I still have my legacy memberships that they discontinued years ago but they’re so cheap compared to what they have now. But yeah I have been going to this park for years and I do want it to be the best it can be. However seeing the GP overacting just makes me roll my eyes at this point but this is really nothing new. They say great adventure is terrible because Back in the 90’s and the 2000’s great adventure did look better and had a good amount of shows. While I do agree with that the park still has a great collection of rides which they have been adding to. Like going into the 2010’s the park needed flat rides and they added a ton but people will still tell me that the park barely has any flat rides. I know this was long but just wanted to express how I feel.

@@Starlit43 Thank you for your comment! This park is wonderful for locals, but I don't think it's worth spending money on travel and hotel accommodations just to visit. The park is not in the best condition, despite having great rides. Most vloggers we follow never mention the park's poor state; if they had, we wouldn't have visited. While we don't have a large following, it's important to warn others about spending their hard-earned money on this place.

​@@Starlit43I am a coaster enthusiast and great adventure is my home park. I have one main question for you. You touched on a few issues, like the ferris wheel not being open, and said it's not Six Flags fault. How is it not their fault and who's fault is it?? It's their 50th anniversary, they should have started what they wanted to do a long time ago so we wouldn't be where we are now, the summer being close to over and the park still looking like sh*t. Great Adventure was Six Flags second most visited park and we haven't gotten a new ground up coaster in 18 YEARS! Kings Dominion has their 50th coming up next year and they just announced a launched custom layout B&M wing coaster. For our 50th they weren't planning on anything, not a single thing. The awful capacity Super Boomerang was sold to a park overseas who wound up not being able to take the ride, so Six Flags jumped on it because it was cheap. If that park overseas didn't close down, we wouldn't be getting sh*t coaster wise. Although that may have been for the best because there's no way in hell I'm waiting 3+ hours to ride that boomerang anyway so it's all the same to me.

The most intense part is the helix turn halfway through-the point where my wife and I almost passed out. The rest of the ride features lots of hills but no inversions, and it also offers an amazing view of the lake.

We loved Knoebels-it’s an amazing park! However, we were disappointed that we couldn't get on one ride due to the long wait. Having already visited four amusement parks in the previous five days, we were a bit tired of standing in lines. But we’re definitely looking forward to riding it next time!

That sounds an amazing place to grow up around!!! We love classic parks, and there's nothing quite like Knoebels anymore. It's an amazing place, and we will definitely be back!

We should Astro we have been to a lot of them now. Our suggestion is never travel or go out of your way to go to a Six Flags park!

We agree it’s wild how they have some amazing coasters, but the rest of the park is so poorly maintained. I’ve never been to a park with so much junk and trash stored around the bases of the coasters. I wouldn’t recommend anyone spend the money to travel to a Six Flags park, especially with the cost of hotels. After visiting Six Flags Great Adventure, it's clear that Six Flags parks are best for locals only, and no one should go out of their way to visit such poorly kept parks.
