What do you mean when you say the “ethnic group of people known as Jews”?Jewish is a religion and Hebrew is an ethnicity. Who are you referring to when you say ethnic Jews? Mathematically David and Solomon’s offspring alone would have to be totally worldwide by now! How does one begin to calculate to determine who all is “ethnically Jewish”. And if it can’t be calculated who gets to decide? Maybe there’s a more accurate term than “ethnically Jewish”? Food for thought. Another chapter learnt well from Pastor Batarseh. Also,Barzillai has been added to my list of heroes in the Bible. Thank you Pastor Daniel Batarseh and MBC of Chicago for extending God's love and truth to onliners.

Joshua wasn't set apart from the golden calf incident. He was somewhere on the mountain top with Moses when he was receiving the ten commandments. Exodus 24 verse 12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.” Verse 13 Then Moses set out with Joshua his aide, and Moses went up on the mountain of God. We don't know where Joshua was exactly, but his statement in Exodus 32 sounds like he didn't know what was going on in the camp which would confirm his lack of being there during this event. He wasn't in the presence of God and Moses on the mountain. However, he set out with Moses to the mountain and was in close proximity of him while being far enough away from the camp.
