Gallbladder enzymes do not digest sugar, they digest fat. Enzymes associated with the pancreas (ie insulin) digest sugar. Yes, the pancreas and gallbladder are closely related to one another in terms of the innards of the stomach. So if you have gallbladder issues it's not uncommon to have issues with type II diabetes. I can think of many foods that are high in sugar but very low in fat. It's not all about donuts!

As someone who is 9 months post op gastric sleeve, I eat almost everything on this list with no issue. Instead of regular potatoes, I do eat sweet potatoes. Enjoy :)

Use 10% cream in the 1 to 2 cups of coffee daily. That's really not a lot of milk fat. Drink skim milk; personally, I would never use a plant based alternative. Most days are not complete unless i have my allotment of a cheddar cheese cube. Seriously.

Oh seriously, what are we supposed to eat? For lunch today, I had 3 slices of bacon, 2 fried eggs, and toast with margarine. It was wonderful! I don't eat like this every day or even every week.

I think I had bile acid diarrhea for about one week after I had eaten a meal with lot of fat, a couple of months after my surgery. Certainly not fun. I started eating a lot more fiber after that and thankfully it went away.

My issue is indigestion. The pain is 10/10 constant for about 2hrs and even worse than the pain I felt when I still have my gall bladder. Before surgery I was only having like 4-5/10 pain, on and off, which is tolerable. But now, I’m having trauma in eating because I might have another pain attack.

Yes, you can eat onions after gallbladder removal, but you might want to pay attention to how your body responds. And consult with your healthcare provider too. Thanks
