Isn't it easier to route the audio out of the mc707 in tr? then you can control the volume via the external in knob on the upper left.

Just wondering, I'm new to this stuff and have both, is it possible to run the mix out from the 707 to the TR8S ext-in so you have all channels available on both machines? And if so, which one should run the clock?

i would rather get the ATV EXS-5 at this price point. This just looks and sounds like a cheap toy drum set IMO. If the sounds were better and all the pads and cymbals were 2" bigger, I would consider it.

Hi, excuse me, I see, when you are on the metronome settings, metronome position selection set on mixout, is it possibile to move on phones? This is a very important function for me, I was looking for that on the manuals of the 101 and 707, but it’s written that position changes are possible only fbt or after efx. While the main function for the metronome should be to listen only through phones while mixout plays tracks. Can you pls add if on 707 is possible? Thks

@@jonathanwelch809 I decided to go with the Roland TD17KVX. When I first set it up I was in love with the hardware, but initially I was disappointed with the sound of a lot of the preset kits. However after taking a lot of time to do some EQ & tuning the sound on some of them, I really do love this kit & I’m glad I went with Roland (although admittedly I don’t know if I would have liked the Yamaha better). I also bought a couple sound packs from Drum-Tec & Edrum Workshop & man did that make them sound soooo much better. If you do go with the Roland I highly recommend buying a couple of those sound packs because they really make a huge difference in my opinion. Good luck brother!

@@redeyedbuggers thanks man! Glad it worked out for you. I think I'm actually gonna go with the Alesis Strike Pro SE. It has some amazing sounds and you get an extra tom and symbol. @@chriscrowder3844 You can route out in mono or stereo. You just have to menu dive in the 707. On the TR8s you have to tell each kit how to handle an external input. Underside Ext In -> side chain. Its difficult to explain by txt

@jona_KardCiv1
@jona_KardCiv1 Жыл бұрын
@@chriscrowder3844 No. The 707 has a pair of sends. So basically you route the audio out of the 707's sends, to the TR8s Ext In via cable The 707 also has internal routing options I believe. You can also route more than one channel to the sends out jacks. Lots of flexibility. It was a burden of choice for me. If you are going for the bass pump effect. You only need to route mono. No effects. You can apply effects in the TR8s and have a tighter sound.

Looks like there are two major drawbacks: 1) When you stop 707 - you have 8s also stopped. So no smooth transitions between 707 projects 2) You are stilling 2 tracks from 707, which is HUGE. If count only voices - you a taking x2.5 sounds count you were able to produce on 707's two tracks taken.

how about just connecting the main out of 707 into the ext in of the tr8s. in that case u can let the tr8s play while switching projects on 707 and you don't lose tracks on the 707 if i get it right. just ordered my 707 :))

Thanks for the video! I have been looking for this, but only found one reference in the update documentation of v1.20. Is there a precount function for the metronome other than with the sampler? So you get x clicks before the actual sequence starts? This would be super handy in a live situation with more than one people that listen to the metronome as their click track. Also it would be handy for recording your patterns (so you are in sync with the tempo when the actual recording starts).
