This thing absolutely sucks. I hated fighting this snake.. especially without my go to ammo.

Yeah it did attack me a few times I just never got hit. The reason it attacks so little is because I am hitting it enough to stun it when it starts to enter attack animations (just have to constantly hit it to get it to cancel by the next attack) and also knocking it out and blowing up the sacs cancel his attacks. On top of all of that I position myself so he has to maneuver to attack. He doesn't attack much because I don't give him many opportunities to attack. And partly luck 😁

Oh and yes I did it many times. That's how I mastered this technique it get around 1:30 in my newer (former) record. I don't feel like following the meta much anymore since it's very difficult to reproduce everything to get the world records so I stopped after my third time reacquiring the record

@@pixl41 Man when I fight him i barley touch the ground and he already charge at me or shoot me with electricity. I don't even have controls over alloy.

@Cykada yeah you gotta stay closer to him to avoid the electricity. That's hard to avoid when he starts that attack. Try waiting for him to be closer before jumping down and prepare the shredder gauntlet while you wait

u mean the leaderboards ultrahard? Cause the actual 1st record is 54.662s.

They've been nerfed unfortunately but this is still a valid strategy for completing the arena with a good time

@@pixl41 Lol doubt it. I'm actually pretty great at the game but I've never really bothered with Shredder Gauntlets other than when the game requires it. & whenever I do I find them somewhat difficult to catch, mainly because it's hard to determine what direction they're gonna fly back at. Doing it up close like this w zero time to respond has to be crazy difficulty. Must require some crazy brain to finger reaction speed.

@@skins4thewin took a lot of practice that's for sure. After a while you pick up a pattern though. Not sure how it works but subconsciously I can figure where it's going. I think it's how you are moving when you throw it

@@pixl41 I see. I'm trying to beat it now on Ultra Hard and good lord is it tough! Am trying to get the hang of the Gauntlet but it's just really not happening for me. I'm having a hard time having my attack interrupted or process of catching it w the huge snake flailing everywhere, I can't even see the thing returning to me half the time & just completely lose track of where it is. Do you have any other tips for using other weapons to beat it? Cus I can use any other weapon very effectively just not Gauntlets lol.

@@pixl41 I mean seriously, I've always considered myself to be a very good player. Even Ultra Hard has been pretty easy thus far, but this... this is a completely different ballgame. I have tried and tried and tried & I just can't do this! I started thinking that Fire might be the answer, with 3 wires you can pretty easily engulf it. But Fire was nerfed so effing bad in this game that it barely does any damage. I'm just really not sure what the hell to do! Shredder Gauntlets simply aren't an option as I just can't manage them, so I'm looking for literally ANY other strategy I can use. In my 1st playthru I beat it using the Plasma Boltblaster as my strategy & it worked well, but I can't get the damn thing to eject it's damn plasma canisters which I want to wait for that to use it. Tried traps, spikes, advanced hunter arrows, none of it is strong or fast enough. And I try to avoid damage as best I can but one hit takes you down to critical. I dunno wtf to do!

I've noticed a lot of the enemy AI seems to be WAY more aggressive on PS4 than PS5. We're noticing that with The Enduring, too. On PS5 people are taking her down in a fair fight on VH, on PS4 she just completely wrecks your shit on VH, even for someone like me who 100% cleared HZD on UH. I'm not even sure she's beatable on UH on PS4. I wonder if the Slitherfang AI is doing the same thing...

It's mostly just AI manipulation. I have done it enough to understand where to stand top avoid long range attacks and focus on staggering him to cancel each short range attack. It takes A LOT of time and luck. The record is 50% skill and 50% luck. For every run where I get good attack cancels there are 50-70 other runs where I didn't

Nah I've done the slitherfang on my brothers ps4 UH and got 3rd in the world a few months ago when it wasn't super competitive. The enduring however was a lot easier than the other pit masters. Never did that on PS4 though. I don't think the slitherfang is different. Feels about the same

Sometimes when you get hit or staggered it resets it. Not sure if it's a glitch or intentional but it's really frustrating

The game got a update month ago... They nerfed the gauntlets draw/reload.

@@paristeta5483 Of course, but i think its more easy If u see my vídeos on yt Channel. I Frozen the Boss and use gauntlet/laser traps. But the maple_leafs i think he use gauntlet/acid traps. In general ALL this methods work well but need a good rng to get a insane time.

Yep haven't figured out a new strat since then. I'm sure there's some better ones on YT but it certainly hindered my WR runs
