I find it ironic that Cloud eventually disappeared like a cloud. No bones, no remains. He vanished like a wisp in the wind.

Kathy … check 11:20 this video where “Cloud” is mentioned along with pic of stunning blue roan/ grey horse called “Flint” who is said to have passed and joined Cloud … so not sure if Cloud & Clouds Image are the same horse, but sounds like “Cloud” has actually passed along with “Flint” … hope this helps

How do you keep yourself safe up there, when filming, I wonder? Im sure there are bears and mountain lions around. Just be careful.

It is nature...I'm in THEIR world so there isn't much to do. The horses' behavior is a very good signal for any predators thst might be around. I stay very aware of my surroundings as well.

I ALWAYS remain at a safe distance from the horses as I film with a 150-600 lens...so I'm not as close as it would appear.

Usually older horses can’t take care of the bands anymore so they were most likely stolen by a younger and stronger bachelor stallion once clouds age started to catch up with him

Cloud lost his band for the final time a couple of weeks before Easter in 2015. He remained a bachelor until his disappearance.

This was the last confirmed sighting of Cloud. There was a possible unconfirmed very brief sighting of him in May 2016 but nothing since. How or exactly when he passed will remain a mystery and with his remains never found I kept hoping for 2 years that he would magically appear again since he was known to disappear through winters before I accepted he was gone. It brings me peace that Kris still feels his presence on the mountain in spirit. My heart is joyous that he was able to remain free his whole life and will always be King of the Pryors to me. I have been blessed to own a Draft size twin to Encore and I am reminded of Cloud and Encore every single day when I look at my American Cream Draft mare. Cloud and I both died in 2016, but I was brought back three times.... thank you Kris for this and all you do not just for the heart of the Pryors but all our wild mustangs.

THIS must have been when he was a teenager....he went through a grunge phase for a few months when he was oneish....GOD Bless you, Cloud.....May HE have Mercy on you and all your family!!

These clips were actually filmed the last time I ever spent time with him on Nov 8, 2015. I'm not sure anyone else ever spent time with him after that day.

Hey Kris, you are letting me comment at last. I support our Australian Brumby advocacy and welfare here which has an entirely different approach involving "lethal weapons" - say no more! Our recent bushfires were devastating and I have just had arrive on my small farm here two orphaned filly foals. As Tedros A G (WHO Director) recently said about humans, and same with these little ones "You cannot care about millions if you do not care about the poor (human) dying in front of you). Gee, I would love to be your chauffeur!!!

he got into a OVER STALLION battle and then he disapered hos body was never recoverd

He had back leg injury from a fight. He recovered from that injury, but had lost his family. He was re-injured trying to win them back. He went into winter in not the best shape, and was not seen again in the spring. I wrote this from memory, if I got any of it wrong, please feel free to correct it, anyone.

He never tried to reclaim his family after he lost them for the last time in April 2015. He was with his brother Red Raven and neither of them were seen again.

Lynn... yeh this video was from 2016. Sorry...didn't realize it didn't have a date on it. And the photos that TCF shared are both my photos from Saturday. I was beyond thankful to find him that day since no one had seen him since mid August.

@@kriscollett1524 ~ I was just really confused why your video showed Jackson looking great and the photos posted he didnt look as great. I'm glad you found him too. There are a few that I am worried about, hoping someone shares sightings of them soon. My heart breaks when we lose some, but it's the not knowing and wondering if certain ones are okay that's hard especially since I am not physically capable of ever being able to go to the mountain myself now. Thank you for all you do and posting updates videos and photos of our cherished Pryor mustang's. :0)

kris collett ~ thank you sweetie, but I don't do FB and now my iPad won't even let me access the social media pages through websites like I was doing thru the TFC website. Wild in the Pryors now tells me it's a private site and I can't access Sandy's site anymore. Hope she's okay. Is everyone and horses all ok with the west Pryor mountain wildfire? I was going to make the 1100 mile drive to the mountain for my bday (today) but found out the mountain was closed to the public due to the fire so here I sit at home...

Where is "Cloud's Island" located on the range? I use google earth to try to find all these areas. Took awhile to figure out a lot and with help from your videos to know which water hole is referred to as Mystic and Kruger ponds etc. I figured out much on my own but I have not been able to figure out where Cloud's Island is.

Ok...so when you come onto the range up top, at the north end just above Krueger pond...the road hooks left as soon as you come through the gate. If you were to go straight...along the big ugly fence, all that out that direction is Cloud's Island. I actually learned to call it the "snow fed water hole" instead if mystic pond. Even in July sometimes there is still snow on the side slope. Let me know if that helps. 😊

kris collett oh thank you sooo much! It took me almost a year to figure out where the Teacup bowl was lol! I've got most figured out and honestly it's been mostly due to your videos! Turkey Flats and Mustang Flats didn't take that long and with google earth actually identifying Tillet Ridge as well as the creeks etc made things a bit easier I've even found the old rusted tractor. I have combed Cloud's Island many times over not knowing!! Haha!
