Michael Jordan left the league Kobe was supposed to be the next one with the torch but instead found himself competing with a 20-year-old LeBron James, for who's the best player in the NBA. 20 years we've been having a LeBron or Jordan conversation
@Ulysses43218 сағат бұрын
Knowledge basketball fans have not been having a debate. What you're talking about is the adent of "scream sports talk" which, desperate for content invented a non-issue in order to pull in two generations of fans, those from the previous era and the modern era, who brought up on entitlement, presumed that their era deserved the "greatest of all time". Case in point: You recall that the "LeBron is the GOAT" argument began TWENTY years ago. That's 2004. He didn't win his first title until 2013 - that's NINE YEARS of "goat talk" without ever even winning a title. No one thought his career was over, or that he COULDN'T win one, 9 years in (it took Jordan 8 years), but the "GOAT" talk was ONLY begun by panel show pundits for content. Do you remember the AWFUL takes coming off those programs? I do. Because the ONLY reason LeBron was being mentioned in ANY "GOAT conversation was because sports talk needed CONTENT and TV producers know that no one is going to tune in to 4 guys admitting that "Michael Jordan is still the GOAT". Therefore, they ALWAYS had a guy throwing out stats in an era of inflated stats to create an argument that never existed in the first place.

I’d say it’s probably 70% mindset and 30% natural ability. Cause there is a lot of cats that have brons athleticism. They just don’t have the mindset to keep doing the right things day in and day out

I agree, LeBron made a smart choice by investing in his body and eating the right things. Also anabolic steroids helps as well.

Hating on greatness? Lol
@reygonzalez93095 күн бұрын
@RunninPoint Quite the contrary. I'm not hating on him, I think anabolic steroids should be allowed in sports. I do believe he's taking steroids. My problem is that steroids are considered cheating which I don't think they are. They're great for recovery after you finished either training or performing. I don't think they should be banned from sports at all.
@RunninPoint5 күн бұрын
@ I like the idea, but will that ruin sports in the long-term?
@reygonzalez93094 күн бұрын
@@RunninPoint I disagree, it won't ruin sports at all. Taking consideration what you guys have been talking about, LeBron James has invested millions of dollars on maintaining a physique that produces maximum performance. Which means that if it's allowed they will use the best physicians to monitor the administered dosage to the athletes. While doing so they'll be gathering analytical empirical data which will improve the process and give us an extensive knowledge of the benefits as well as the pros and cons.

I have to respectfully disagree with Dj’s take..Saying that 2 grown professional athletes and teammates are going to go out and compete against each other instead of focusing on beating the Mavs in the NBA Championship is wild...I could understand this if you were talking about the regular season, that's when you prove yourself, not during the championship, Championships are all about winning by any means necessary. Great episode guys, I’m enjoying the content, especially when its Celtics talk.
