great show but hey have no started to ban dogs! Too bad! For a long time, dogs were welcome and people and dogs would wander through the show, no problem. Now, eve my 6-pound dog in my handbag is not permitted, meaning we have to split p and go through one at a time or find boarding for him for the weekend. think I'll pass this year

Marion is home to the Clement Mineral Collection (check out the Mineral Show here), a "World Class" Collection of Kentucky and Illinois Flourite. The crystal specimens range in weight from a fraction of an ounce to hundreds of pounds. Each was a rare accidental find among regular ore bodies, and was brought from deep underground and preserved. The museum host several mineral digs through out the year and the Annual Gem & Mineral Show the first weekend of June each year.

Thanks for this video. I plan on heading out to Bancroft next summer for some collecting. I was not aware that there were organized trips showing you the sites. This would have been useful to me earlier this year when I went to the area to find the Old Silver Crater Mine. I eventually found it and collected some radioactive samples but it would have been a lot easier to find if I had been able to talk to an organizer. I'll see you in Bancroft in the summer.
