How would i calculate Tire Strength...Tire Load Carrying Capacity?????
@thevatsaljain
@thevatsaljain 26 күн бұрын
The tires load index value gives the maximum load carrying capacity. Also, this load carrying capacity is at the recommended maximum pressure of the tire. Also, you can compare strength on the basis of ply rating.

I would recommend having the damping ratio closer to 1/sqrt(2) = 0.707, having it slightly underdamped than having it at 1 which is critically damped if you want a suspension that is more responsive. Under critical damping, it takes too long for the mass to return to the equilibrium position. Having it damped, as I recommend, means that it will reach equilibrium in about one half the time and will only overshoot the equilibrium position by a slight amount(greatly reduced amplitude). Damping it this way also minimizes the residual elastic potential energy(a minimization integral) under the arches of the train of oscillations. Look into the details of engineering optimal control theory for a further explanation.

I am a little bit confused while talking about the rear tire you said the tire will push with the force F1 but while talking about the front tire you said tire will push the road with Force F3. How so should it be F4 or F3 is correct. Please let me know about the same. Thank you

I found two issues in the explanation of anti-dive and anti-dive rate. The first is the drawing from the upper and lower arms, where are correctly drawn from the "ball joint" on the hub carrier side, not from the fixed point on the body side, parallel to the axis of rotation on the body side. The second is the drawing of the anti-dive ratio. The front and rear positions of the perpendicular line in the drawing are not the center of gravity, but the position where the wheelbase is proportionally distributed based on the distribution ratio of front and rear braking forces (the vertical position can be the height of the center of gravity). It is obvious that if the distribution of braking force changes, the anti-dive rate will also change. I would like to add in your honor that these two points are also wrong in many references and websites.

Is there a difference between single sided two pistons vs oppose sided 4 pistons in terms of the clamping force? If each piston is the same diameter? Floating caliper has pistons in single side but it has a moving mount the other side. Would it make the clamping force a double in terms of their size of piston surface?

Rolling resistance numbers were little rough for the comparison if you look what they are actually. On road migth be closer to those figuges but still the normal tires are closer to the ev tire values in this example. At least if you drive in tarmac roads and use european tires. I would say EV tires are A rated 0,0065 or better and normal tires B-C range on eu label. Cheap tires and then D or worse
