I’m not even hear to try to make anyone eat crow, just to point out that, regardless whether you wanted to listen or not, I tried offering good financial advice to anyone looking to make a few bucks, I commented on multiple Wolfpack shows telling y’all that UT was being grossly underrated right now, and if your ego wouldn’t stand in the way of you making an easy payday to soften the blow which was inevitable due to, well, you ran into a walking, taking, fiery buzz saw of a UT team which is primed to make a CFP run this year, & should NOT be an underdog in ANY of our remaining games other than MAYBE a 3.5 point dog going into Athens for the showdown agajnst the Bulldogs. Anyone looking to make an easy buck, go to your bookie or choice, lock in UT on an alternate spread as high as your bookie will offer, the higher the better, cause you’re absolutely going to take them to the cleaners pretty harshly in their own right. I tried telling at least half a dozen of y’all to put your pride to the side, & your wallet out front, but the whole “ego trip” wouldn’t allow for it apparently, because when I told several of you to take the max alt in favor of Tennessee I was called crazy. I said it wasn’t going to be within 20 points, and the highest alt spread I could find was -18.5, so I double dipped with a safety net at -13.5 on spread for UT & the other half went on the max alt of -18.5 and I’m not saying this to rub it in, what I’m saying is that, since you’re not emotionally invested in the outcome of the UT v Oklahoma game next Saturday, of which Oklahoma is somehow still the betting favorite on the spread, at -3.5 (and that line is about to start moving rapidly the other way) so go make your money while it’s sitting on the table.. Tennessee should be the favorite in this matchup, & it shouldn’t even be a single digit spread. Go as high as you’re comfortable going, but I promise, better days will come if you dare to listen to a decent human being who happens to be a math nerd, and a sports analysis nut, if you will. I have a feeling that line will be fixed pretty quickly by Sunday evening, following our beat down of Kent State, but with Oklahoma the current -3.5 that means a bet of UT -8.5 would cash all day & twice on Saturday with odds around +500 to +700 depending on your bookie. If you wanna feel safer about your investment, then you could do a safety net alt for less points to guarantee your money back ofc, but always gamble responsibly within reason) with the right insight being presented to you, by an official numbers nerd. I’m just your friendly Volunteer fan, offering a bit of critical analysis of the delusion going around about Tennessee not getting the respect they deserve. You’ll almost certainly have less than 24 hours before the current Oklahoma-3.5 flips to no less than a “pickem” game, meaning you just lost out on a good percentage of your potential profit margin because you didn’t trust my free, friendly insight which happens to win me pretty fat stacks of cash. Not adjusting tp getting the ball out of mccall's hand faster was a gross oversight. Even after halftime the game wasn't out of reach. You can't have your qb running for his life, continuing to get behind the sticks against that defensive line. Best of luck the rest of the year.

Honestly, as a vols fan I think NC State can still reel back and be a condentor to win the ACC. They are a talanted team that can rebound if they keep their head up and click on team chemestry. Clemson isn't the powerhouse they used to be so a win is tough but possible there imo. Plus, with the Notre Dame lose to NAI (and NAI being ranked now), NC state can get back into ranked territory quick.

Tennessee is grossly underrated right now. Huepel is teaching the team to never let up, regardless of the score. In the SEC, things can backfire quickly. NCS probably isn't as bad as everyone is thinking right now, and Tennessee is probably better than they're getting credit for being. The score was respectable in the first half, but then the wheels came off. Tennessee also may have the best defensive front in the country. They are a force to pay attention to....

Guys nc state should win 8 wins every year in the acc it’s pretty bad. The sec is a different level Tenn is ok they are going to hit trouble in the sec they do have an easier sec schedule.

I feel bad that it was such a brutal loss for you guys. I'm a Tennessee fan. Have been for life. We have been through brutal losses like this in the past and not very far. And we lost to Georgia State. We had the same outlook on this game as you guys did. This was an opportunity to put ourselves on the map and we just were too much for you guys. And that's not a knock on you guys. The ACC is probably a lot easier to navigate as we have to play through an SEC schedule that can be absolutely brutal. Especially now we have additions of Texas and Oklahoma. This was a must win game for us and we just got it done and probably just had more talent and experience around us. Again not a knock on you guys. I wish you guys the best moving forward in your ACC schedule. We start SEC play in 2 weeks against Oklahoma.

Nice breakdown. The fact Tennessee only punted once and had zero three and outs was impossible to overcome. Multiple things can simultaneously be true. Tennessee has better personnel at most positions, BUT NCSU had a lot of unforced errors. Clean up the slop and move on. It's a long season, and Clemson has always been a more important game than UT.
