I've had my eye on Maahir Legacy for a while. It's supposed to be a Parfums de Marly Sedley clone. Some say it's super close, others say it's way off. I'll pick it up when I see it for a good price.

I have two bottles of the OG. I have Tribal Gold. I have The Kingdom. I passed on the Rayhaan because it sounded like a hybrid of two of the JPGs. Rayhaan's tend to smell more synthetic. But if you're on a budget you should make the clones work for you. Cheers.

Depends on your mood. Tribal Gold is lighter. You need to overspray. Sub par performance. Sub 6 hours longevity. The Kingdom performs better. Go lighter on the sprays. It's a little richer. Neither is as complex as the OG. But I have heard maturation really makes a difference with the clones. Mine haven't been maturated much yet. So when I need to make a statement I grab the OG. But if you're on a budget the clones get the job done. Just overspray and carry a decant. Good luck. Cheers.

Of course, it doesn't need to be said. Get the cheaper clone. I believe The Kingdom is slightly cheaper than Tribal Gold. YMMV.

If presentation matters to you, Tribal Gold has better mimicry of the OG. It was the first clone so it set the bar high. But for value The Kingdom is definitely better. Better juice overall. For those that go for the Rayhaan, reviews have been quirky. It sounds like a hit or miss depending on if you care about the opening or dry down. And it is more of a hybrid of Le Parfum and Elixir cloned in one. Cheers.

They're very different, but Khamrah Qahwa I think is the better choice imo. It's a little sweeter, more complex and it got a lot of compliments.

I have The Kingdom and have compared it to Le Male Elixir (a co-worker has it). The difference I get is that the lavender & mint is more pronounced in the beginning and quite tame in the Kingdom. The Kingdom comes out the gate quite sweet and strong. The Kingdom smells more like the dry down of Le Male Elixir and is pretty linear.

I'm planning to get decants of all the designer and niche versions of all the fragrances I have reviewed soon to do quick showdowns, but I think I'll keep doing videos talking about the fragrances as their own scent first. A lot of them seem to be more inspired by than straight up clones. Thank you for the info! Really useful!

By the fireplace is very linear. I found emir to be much more layered. It does smell similar though. Many seem to enjoy it, myself included. I hope you do too!

Yeah I messed up on that. I knew but somewhere down the line I switched it up in my head and it stuck. I'm not comparing them to any Le Male scent so it doesn't really matter. Thanks for the feedback though. 😁

my honor and glory just arrived earlier and when I unbox and sprayed it, it smells like harsh and a lot of alcohol also a bit synthetic. I'll let it macerate for 2 weeks maybe

Is it my olfactory fatigue or this is too weak? I got a 20 ml tester today I sprayed 4 sprays 2 on my wrist and 2 on my neck right where the pulse points are but after 5 minutes I don't smell anything unless I sniff my wrist

That's interesting... 🤔 When I used it, it never struck me as weak. It might be 2 things: 1. It needs time to mature. Where did you get your tester from? 2. You might actually be nose blind to it. I read a tip once that has helped a lot with that for me: don't spray on your neck. When you spray on your neck you constantly smell your fragrance and it becomes easier for your nose to ignore it.

I am not mad or anything because I paid very little for the 20 ml rectangular plastic container with a very decent sprayer actually, and I got it because everyone in perfume community I know and all the comments on fragrantica said it was a Mfk Grand Soir ditto copy for 10 times less the price and I wanted to smell this to have an idea what that super hyped perfume smelled like

@@fegermany2413 💯 will give amethyst a fighting chance. I use fragrances for at least 3 days in a row before I give it a formal review. As for December vanilla, it is very very good. It's spicy and smells like a holiday treat. Everyone seems to love it when I wear it. Haven't given it a review yet but I can tell you it'll be positive when I do!

Well, it is a feminine sweet girly female perfume. Most women seem to really like it a lot. It is a very popular KAYALI rock candy dupe for women. It’s a love for my wife and she smells great to me. 🩷 “Concerned look” because you are a dude. It’s not for men unless you are a girly man fella. It is on Fragantica now and it has a good following. It’s a cooler weather scent. Not for hot days. Similar to a Britany Spears Fantasy type scent. Why would you be wearing this dude???

I have this, Midnight in Paris and now Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold by Lattafa. You should try Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold, but I do not think it's a safe blind buy. It has a lot of rubbery smell until the bottle is aired out for a couple weeks and allowed to breath (macerate). It's a Rosendo #5 dupe apparently and it has a super new car smell mixed with vanilla and caramel with light florals floating about.

For me it is enjoyable, but I agree its very simple and somewhat harsh. I get some soft vanilla and some booziness'. I do not regret getting it. I live in Sweden and can say this one does wonders on really really cold days as it cuts through the air and leave a soft trail. Its a mystery to me how it became so popular.. Must be the power of influencers. There are a lot of better tobacco scents out there. The performance is just bad.

My favorite so far is PDM Herod, but I also love D&G the one, Inition Side effect , Tom Ford Tobacco vanille (Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco edition are identical). Waiting on a few tobacco style samples the coming week. Very excited to try amourage royal tobacco and Penhaligon's Blazing mr sam.

4:16 - yes, I'm afraid it's you, and I think I know why. Jazz Club is meant to be subtle, and arabs simply don't know how to do subtle, so if the overwhelming majority of the fragrances you own is arabic, Jazz Club is gonna be weak for you. I own french, british and italian fragrances, and I can very easily detect every note from the note breakdown except the clary sage. This is designed to last 5-6 hours in the fall / winter, roughly the length of a nice date or a few drinks with your friends, and it does exactly that with a soft / medium projection, so you don't choke those people out with a room filler. It's very annoying when I can smell a person from 3 tables away, especially when they smell like a candy shop or the spice section of a supermarket.

I totally get that. The fragrances I've reviewed are mostly strong but I do use some softer ones, especially at work and to go out. This just felt like it lacked depth and it disappeared so quickly. Must be my chemistry.
