I wanted to ask how much do you think youve spent on your whole collection? And the other thing id like to start collecting as i did when i was younger and still have my whole sets from when i was a child. I live in australia so when i buy from the USA it costs so much just to send one card. So i was wandering if you are selling? If so is there a way i can purchase a bunch from you so to save on delivery.?

Thanks for letting me know you liked it! That's a great question but I have no idea because it has spanned over 30 years. It's in the millions for sure. Yes I have over 2000 graded marvel cards on ebay and on my website. I ship to Australia all of the time. Id be happy to do a bulk order and get you a discount on shipping. Im on IG as well.

My biggest question is if I was wanting to open hobby boxes just to grade PSA and flip to make a few hundred or more (Prob keep a few of course). How do you go about finding the best hobby boxes to buy to make money after grading. In other words is there a process you use to research what hobby boxes will give you the best bang for your buck after grading is finished. All I can really think of is look for what individual cards of the specific set your interested in sold for on eBay and just kind of do some math as you can only see the last few months of sales. PS. Your/these videos are a HUGE help as you mentioned they give us an idea of how many 9's and 10's to expect. Thank you for taking the time to share this stuff with us.

I would encourage you to use beckett for any that might get a pristine 10 grade and for any that I need for my set b/c I will pay/trade you top dollar for any that I need. The way I choose boxes to make money after grading is very similar to what you stated. I know the prices the cards will bring before I purchase the box. I base my decision on what boxes to buy based on sets I need to complete in all gem condition and the bigger the spread is between the cost of the box and the prices of the cards the better. Lastly I choose what boxes to buy based on how many gems I know should come from that particular box. Im really glad this info helps! I love your username by the way. So I was interested in buying boxes and getting graded. As I look on eBay Beckett 9.5 are selling for like $50-$150 while PSA 10's are selling for $300-$1000? I know PSA fetch a slight premium but wasn't thinking that much! What's up with that?

I went to Cardladder and looked at the recent solds. It seams that the BGS 9.5's base cards are selling from 50-70 & BGS 9's $12-30 each. PSA 10 base cards are selling from $20-$40 & PSA 9's $9-20 each. The Silver Flasher PSA 10's are selling from $70-$400 and the Silver Flasher BGS 9.5's are selling from $70-$200. I sold a BGS 10 Spider-Man Blaster for $10,000 in 2022 and other BGS 10's for 1-2k each of the base cards. So what Im seeing is the solds are slightly higher overall with PSA but the BGS 10's are much much higher than any PSA 10. Were you referring to the actives for sale?

@coolcardsnet It was a fun weekend, but the drive up there sucked. It's like 7 and half hours for us. That was game 3 that we saw with the Royals that weekend. The hotel was next to the stadium, and all the players walked to the field and back after the game, so you met a lot of them. The first game, my brother got Bo's auto on a ball, and the next day, he rode down the elevator with Bo, Tom Gordon, and Bret Saberhagen. Gordon signed his hat.

Any chance you plan on doing a video on what you look for during pregrading to determine what your gonna send out? I did a box break of the 93 and 94 MM and would love some insight on what you look for so I don't waste money sending ones in that might not grade well.

Yes I do plan to do these videos but it can be different for each box. For yours I would recommend send off all of the inserts that you think will gem and then the top tier characters from the base set like spidey, wolverine etc

So I'm going to start grading my collection and just want some advice. So I like beckett but I heard beckett grading is slowing going down hill with popularity. I was thinking of going with SGC because I like the black tuxedo look of the slab. What do you think about SGC?

Beckett has slowed down a little. That is due to the masses getting into the hobby from the covid boom and not understanding that a beckett 9.5 is just as good of condition if not better most of the time than a PSA 10. It is also due to improper management but that is going on with PSA as well. I like SGC but Im not a fan for my pc. I prefer Beckett over all other companies due to the fact that most of the price records have been broken for cards graded by Beckett vs other companies, you know why you got the grade you did b/c of the sub grades, BGS doesn't upcharge, BGS grades more oddball cards than all other companies, the card does not move inside the case which sometimes caused the card to have damage with no longer makes the card the grade it received. I also prefer BGS b/c they have 2 higher grades over and above all other grading companies highest grade. After grading 10's of thousands of cards with 5 different grading companies I have noticed Beckett is the most consistent by far. Lastly I personally think the slabs look the best especially a gold label 9.5 / Pristine 10 or Black label.

Ah yes, the 90s. Back when you could pull a full base set (or almost) and most of the chase cards from one box. And at most all we had to worry about was one line of parallels like Signature Series. Those were the days! This was such a great set!
