Have history of major depression in 2021 two mid 2022. Recently, I was prescribed Lyrica for back pain, I took it for eight days and decided to come off of it and now my major depression has come back for a month now and I’m taking Prozac antidepressant. How can I fix the problem of depression that Lyrica induced??

1st of all ...just dont like this guys whole vibe...looks too sleazy.Secondly. ....I have been using citalopram(only 10mg) in the morning.I do not normally suffer from depression or have a nervous disposition but had a hell of a frightening and taumatising experience which left me with ptsd and exacerbated my cardiac problems. After about a month and a half of citalopram I am feeling great and not agitated or spun out.I get along better with people but never feel stoned or artificially pepped up and am not snappy anymore. Before the citalopram I was on benzodiazepene and it was grea for anxeity attacks...but it always had to be handy for a backup dose if things became difficult or I found myself in similar surroundings and external stimulus that I associate with the traumatic event.

I have taken Aripiprazole (Abilify) for more than four years now. The initial dosage (whilst hospitalised) was 30 mg. It was prescribed for Schizoaffective Disorder. Largely, I would say that this medication has treated me successfully, reducing my symptoms. (I should add that for the previous 30-35 years, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, and prescribed a myriad of other medications, in various dosages, to not that much success - other than for a few brief periods). I do find that Aripiprazole leaves me feeling almost completely numb, with very blunted emotions, and also completely lacking in motivation and energy. (For example, I have to drag myself to the gym, and struggle to motivate myself to complete household chores and other basic necessities). I often struggle with sleep, and am very restless. But for me, perhaps the worst side effect has been a weight gain of 25 pounds, which has deeply distressed me. In the past, I never gained weight on any of the wide range of medications I was prescribed, so I was astonished to hear your claim that significant weight gain affects only between 1 and 3 % of patients! Mercifully, over the past three years, my Psychiatrist has titrated my dosage down (by 5 mg every eight months) right to 15 mg, and I feel significantly better, as a result. Still numb, still restless, but considerably more energy and focus, and better sleep. My weight gain also seems to be subsiding down to a lower rate.

It's nice that you don't tell your patients that it causes gastroparisis? Which is a slowing of the gut. Should a doctor prescribe this medication when you are taking Pain medication percocet and Fentanyl and muscle relaxers and gabapentin to the max? What kind of doctor would put you on a medication that slows down your mobility when it;s already in a condition of the pre-medication that your doctor has you on. I have been suffering for over 7 years now. I have Sjogren's Syndrome which I did not have prior to this medication I also have Oral Lichen planus. I have lost my hair which was past my shoulder and it was beautiful. I have constant pain in my mouth and have suffered malnutrition after getting off of this medication for the last 7years. My doctor never asked me how I was doing only decided that he would not see me as I was suffering from this medication. He has stopped practicing and yes that is what doctors do is practice. They take an oath not to harm, but they turn a blind eye after you become sick and they cannot figure out what the problem is and send you down the line to other doctors who don't give a shit about you or your life. I went through withdrawl on my own to get off all of the drugs my wonderful doctor put me on and to the full extent of what he could. He told me to cut my Fenanyl patches in half and in quarters to wean me off of that medication which was not recommended by any doctor. He was truly evil and then offered me 120 percocet when I told him I had been off of all of my medication. He was only interested in how much money he could make off of everything he put me on. Never once did he weigh me or ask me about this injectable drug to lose weight. I'm now being treated like a drug addict when I go to the ER for anything. I have kidney stones and i'm not able to leave my home because these doctors just want to make an extra buck off of all these patients that wear seeking help for pain and or to lose weight. BEWARE of these doctors!!!! Your life depends on it!!!!

I am absolutely livid and on the verge of making a small bonfire out of my remaining venlafaxine. I am 51, female, and very very pissed off. See what gets a line through it there 🤬 🤬 🤬

Been on 7 - 10 mg a day for 25 years, chronic asthmas, cannot go down as energy levels collapse. Adrenals packed in now. No side affects yet, that I know of, Except diverticulitis, have a bit of a belly. I take them with porridge in the morning, so I reckon that reduces the dose a bit. Blood vessels burst easily in hands, bruise easily. 69 years old, bloke.

I have taken Effexor XR for 20 years. For the first 15 years took 37.5 daily. Increased to 75 mg daily for the past 5 years. Began tapering off two weeks ago. Dropped back to 37.5 daily. Will take this for a month and then stop. I notice I feel quiet and a little withdrawn but nothing else so far. I hope when I stop the 37.5 it will not be to bad. May alternate days for a couple of weeks. Thanks for the video.

The insomnia and the anxiety, depression and almost every other bad side effect there is. I’m experiencing them. I’m hardly sleeping and I’m so weak. I’m also a stay at home mom of two young girls who are on summer vacation and I have a lot of guilt about hardly being able to get enough energy to just get my daily tasks done. 😢 I keep trying to explain what’s happening to my body while I’m taking l it to, my family are the absolute worst. Having constipation while having UC can’t be good. So I have been drinking prune juice and when it got really bad last week. I had to take Myralax. I’m in week 6 of an 8 week taper and it’s been really hard on me physically and emotionally. I feel worse for my family because, of the mood changes. I hate this and can’t wait until it’s over. I hope I never have to take this awful medication again. Unfortunately I’m sure this is just the beginning of a long road for the rest of my life. 😢 I have noticed that the swelling is going down and that’s what I am on it for now is major inflammation in my large intestine and my colon. I guess it’s working but… Ugh! Blessings to you all who are here today because you are suffering from the medication like I am. Keep up your chin. We can do this. Look at how far you’ve come already. Best wishes to you all ❤

4 days cold turkey after 6 months on 75mg. I'm starting to feel very slightly better than yesterday. So far... lots of brain zaps and insomnia. The brain zaps are slightly less intense. Just as frequent (often in triplets every 6 seconds or so) but the dizziness that comes with each zap is slightly less.
