Grunge was a movement, not really a genre. Grunge was actually comprised of a bunch of styles and genres, ie, AIC was metal, Nirvana was punk, Soundgarden was acid rock, etc… Grunge was from Seattle, so it was a Seattle music movement. Bush was as far from Seattle as a western alternative band could be. Therefore, Bush was NOT “grunge”.
