Hi. Isolation of the cold water into boiler. Open. Up the hot tap to take out the pressure. Close the tap and should only get a dribble

Not sure what to do here. I have the ideal independent c24 boiler. It has own timer on it. Is it best to use my T3R as timer. Does my combo. Need to be on or off. To work with T3R

Hi. When we have built in timers you can add the t3r which is a programme thermostat. Just leave the timer set to continuously on. However, to access the wiring the case needs to come off, si you will need to be Gas safe registered to do it.

How long did this job take ? I think I have the same problem. How much should I expect to pay on labour for a job like this ?

How did you know the expansion vessle needs replacing? Is it not just the prv leaking that needs changing ?

Hi. The expansion vessel bladder had failed causing the pressure to rise when the water heats up. The PRV will open and and release the pressure. These are a poor design really and don't seal again and continuously leak.

@gasleckent9682 I only ask as recently mine lost pressure and was leaking from the prv I held the prv open for a few seconds flicked it back into position and it's been fine since stopped dripping and losing pressure. just want to make sure my Ev hasn't also failed. Curious how can we be certain the ev failed.

They can reseal by snapping them shut. Keep and eye on the pressure gauge.

@gasleckent9682 yeah seems to be holding at 1.5 with little movement between hot/cold and no drips from the pvc now. I guess if the pressure starts to fluctuate this would mean the expansion vessel needs changing.

Pointless video. Why not show best method for removing boiler, electrics etc? Video like this should be a good 10 mins at least not 2.

When servicing an LPG Boilers are there any parts that are prone to failure opposed to those to NG Boilers?
