I have a concrete deck - a half-inch or so of concrete over 6 inch thick (30 inch wide) reinforced concrete planks. Cracks developed in the half-inch skim coat above most of the plank joints so now rain water drips down below the deck where I have a storage room. Any thoughts on how I can waterproof this deck? Some elastic-type material?

Music sounds like it's from a terminator movie or something. Just need a voice over telling us about the rise of the machines...

This is more a resurface than a structural overlay.

What is the composition of this concrete? Sand/cement proportions

I've always thought that concrete needed to be wetted before a repair. Is this not true with this product? Thanks, Bob.

Seems like foundation repairs that need to have metal reinforcement removed would never be the same since it’s not all tied together anymore

How do you make sure that the floor becomes smooth after plastering? It’s an outside floor. Cement comes off when we sweep. It causes people to have sinuses. Plastered about three days ago. Should we pour water on the floor. It’s an outside floor. May you kindly assist.

Does not matter what you do, what you use, etc. Unless you FIX the cause of the slab movement.....no amount to top coating or fiber mesh will stop the cracking.

Typically installed as a stand-alone overlay for concrete substrates, it provides an economical solution that has excellent abrasion resistance properties and very good durability against mechanical damage. TF Structural Pure is used for spall repairs, complete resurfacing, large structural rebuilds, or anywhere damaged concrete is in need of repair. TF Structural requires no primers, no scrub coats, no critical mixing ratios and no curing procedures. Its unique chemistry allows the worker up to 10-40 minutes of working time, while still generating strengths higher than concrete after 4 hours. This offers an extremely fast return to service, even in cold weather applications. Please refer to the datasheet for proper surface preparation and product use. Product working time may be adjusted by adding additive Ice or Heat as desired.

1. How does this material hold up in changing climates like Northeast? and 2 does this support weight of cars over time? I get that its a self leveling type of product but not filling in big crack in advance is not wise.

Does it have polymer in it? Do you need to prime the old concrete with a latex binder or Portland Cement slurry?
@VolunteerEpoxy
@VolunteerEpoxy 2 ай бұрын
I certainly would. I'm surprised they didn't do that in this video. I personally would grind the entire pad, prime it, then apply this overlay.

That shit is expensive and hard to work with. He’s working like that because he has to because it dries in minutes. Someone off camera is working like hell mixing it to keep him a wet edge. Very aggressive heating chemical to make it work. Idkwtf but wasted $4k trying to do this

Why not pre wet the concrete before applying the overlay, I’ve watched concrete professionals always wetting the concrete first, just curious why you don’t pre wet!
